It seems like there are so many different reasons for this. A bounce? Probably not because I gave him a lower dose last night. I missed? Contraband? I also had a hard time getting his sample this morning which stressed him out. I guess I'll go back to 1.5 units for awhile and see if that establishes a pattern.
Frustrating but he looks good and acts like he is feeling better than ever.

Not sure. 1/2 looks like a decent cycle and not as high of a pmps. I think 1.5 is a good dose and syggest maybe staying with it unless he drops into the yellows.

Hard to tell - hope you can get more numbers this weekend. I am guessing he just needs more insulin and that the red preshots are just because too small of a dose so it doesn't last long enough. He could be dropping low overnight, but the midcycle numbers you have gotten during the day aren't low enough that he "should" be bouncing. If you can get a before bed number sometime, that might help us figure this out. And some numbers in that 5-7 range would be great during the day.

Did I read he was growling when you test? Have you found a snack he loves and are saving it only for the test? Does it only take one poke?

His +6 is 103 so I wonder if the "hi" this morning was a test strip fluke. Obviously he is not ready for 1 unit. I'll stick with 1.5 for awhile then move to 1.2. I might be trying to change things too quickly.
