:cool:Love,Light and Healing to all of our Kitties,Doggies,Mama and Daddy Beans:bighug::bighug::bighug: MUCH needed prayers please. I had to give Amethyst an injection of terbutaline because of her labored breathing from her Asthma. This will cause her BG to go up Dr. Pickering said she may also need to have Prednisolone again:( Thanks:bighug::bighug: I am monitoring her right now it will take about 15 minutes to act
 
I tend to look at acute medical issues as trumping diabetes. The good thing about FD is you can always adjust the dose. You can work your dosing around Amethysts response to the steroids.

You may want to talk to your vet about Flovent and an inhaler for your kitty. The Aerokat inhaler is a way for cats to get an aerosol dose of steroids. The inhaled steroids have much less of a systemic effect -- they don't cause the same spike in numbers.

Thank you:bighug::bighug: She is already on Flovent 2Puffs 2x a day When She gets like this the Flovent does not help:( That is why I had to give her the Emergency Shot and probably have her go on another round of Prednisolone.:( I will give her a Dosecrease to stay ahead of the PRED.:)

Thank you:bighug::bighug:WE here are ALL amazing Mama and Daddy:bighug::bighug: It was very upsetting seeing her not able to breath Thank God are wonderful Vet had given me prescriptions for the Emergency Injection and Syringes I am Disabled but have a weekly Home Maker who does all of my errands I have had the Emergency Injection since May and have not had to use until today:)Amethyst will probably have to have another round of PRED:( I will give her a Dosecrease before we start it hopefully to stay ahead of it;):bighug::bighug:

Thank you GOD BLESS you and everyone here:bighug::bighug: I am a basket case because I am all alone but I have the support here and a wonderful VET. She answered my frantic call even tho it is Saturday and walk me thru giving Amethyst the Emergency Shot It took about 15 minutes to kick in but Thank God it did :)..She is breathing better but I will still need to order her Prednisolone from our Animal Pharmacy on Monday:(.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Glad Amethyst is breathing better now. So glad the vet gave you the emergency shot to have on hand. Prayers for a speedy recovery for her! She’s very lucky to have such a good kitty mom!
 
Sending healing wishes to you and Amethyst. So scary when a creature cannot breathe. You are a brave and wonderful kitty mama.
