Not a high-dose person, so I can't offer much in the way of help figuring out what Amethyst is up to, just popping in to give support. Two 48s this early in the cycle are scary! Hope she turns it around soon!

I know its scary but you're doing a great job!! After all, this is what we are striving for to get Amethyst insulin needs down:). Depending on how the rest of the day goes you may want to consider a BCS shot tonight to deplete the depot a bit then resume the new 7 u dose in the AM. If you look at Beenie's SS I did this often when she was going down the dose ladder. There's really no set strategy here but if she is difficult to get up or if she coasts in the greens today it may be the thing to do. I'll check in with you later.

Amethyst!! :eek::D And I panicked over a 66! I am just over the moon that the cabergoline is working so very well for her! :bighug: But, those 48s give me the cold sweats! Up now girl!! You are doing amazing!!
 
I agree with @Beenie (GA) to consider a BCS or a skip tonight because of the Cabergoline in play....never underestimate the power of the depot. The hope would be to start 7u in the morning and be able to keep her surfing for a good 6-8 cycles. If she continues this way you may need to consider a larger reduction or raising your reduction number to something like 70 rather then under 50. Surf now Amethyst.....go nice and easy sweet girl.

Thanks Is that BCS one half of her regular dose? Thanks this is all very new it is exciting but I want her to be safe

Congrats on the reduction. I'm glad you got her up. You've had some good advice today on the BCS and tomorrow's dose.
 
It's such a frustrating condition! It's awful when you're seeing pinks reds and...well I won't go there.
And so scarifying when they final drop to green, and drop and drop.
But it is a very good sign. Maybe get a lot of chocolate and put on the coffee :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:just in case you have a PJ party in your near future.
