I went out yesterday for about an hour to do some shopping and when I got home Amethyst had a chunk of her fur missing off of her right cheek all you could she was bright red skin I freaked and rushed her to the ER Her Doctor examined her and told me it happen from trauma I have no idea where she did it because there is nothing in the apartment where she could have ripped that much off He told me that he saw healing cells under the microscope Thank God Put her On Clavamax for seven days and I have to wash it three times a day with warm cotton. BUT I was reading about Clavamax this morning and there was not one good story about it So I am not going to keep giving it to her and pray it heals with no infection. The side effects I read about are nasty!I put it in her SS

Thanks I needed to hear that Yes I just have to be careful because once when I put it on her ear she was cleaning herself and got some in her eyes which was very scary I had to keep flushing it to clear it out
 
Sorry to hear about Amethyst's little owie. :( What side effects of Clavamox are you worried about? Some kitties get GI upset, but giving probiotics before hand ( at least two hours apart) can help.

If you don't see green again by the end of the night, I think you can increase again.

Hi Thanks! I do not have any probiotics wish I did I had to junk my car so have to rely on neighbors when they can help. I read severe diarrehea,vomiting,loss of appetite, lethargic She has never been on an antibiotic so I am also afraid of a possible allergic reaction :oops:

I have the recipe for the golden paste But I was not sure it was safe for either one of us to take because we both have Asthma?
