Looking for something cheaper than A/D. CJ loves A/D and her BG has been fine, even on the A/D...knock wood. She'll be OTJ for 2 straight years next month.

Are there any low carb canned food that are easy to force feed? Or something comparable in carbs to the A/D?

Have you tried running wet food through the blender? I tried it with Sheba and got a real smooth consistency.

Hope it works for you. The first time I tried it I added a lot of water and made a sloppy soup that no one here would eat:confused:

That's a good idea. It's a mess to clean up but a good alternative.

It's worth investing in one of the little pulse blenders like the 'Bullet'. Mine's a GE and came with several blender 'glasses' as such. It's been worth it's weight in gold. Cleanup is quick and easy, you can just put a lid on what you don't use and put it in fridge. I got mine at WallyWorld aka Walmart. This is exactly what mine looks like including the glasses/lids but mine says GE:

Food - I prefer Royal Canin 'Recovery' rather than the A/D. To me it blends smoother, I know the carb count is lower. More of mine that have had to be syringe fed prefered it to the a/d.

HUGS!!!

Royal Canin Recovery is low carbs and a little cheaper. Thanks for the suggestion.

Some vets charge much more than others and even online with a script. AD I think has around 10 carbs-
I have a scripts from my vet and found another that charges 15$ less per case.
