Has anyone done any comparisons on the AT2 vs. 3 numbers?

I purchased the AT3 as soon as it became available just because it came up as an option on Chewy. Did a few tests on Lucy comparing the 2 vs. 3. Big discrepancies at both the low and high numbers. I called Zoetis (the company who manufactures AT) and after days of back and forth phone calls, they sent me a new meter. They told me tons of different things before they would sent me a new meter - 'the AT3 is more accurate' (I did not feel comfortable at all with the variances I was seeing), 'the first blood sample is more accurate (so I switched around the 2 & 3 on the same drop, did them on separate drops at the same time, came up with same discrepancies). As an example, Lucy read 286 on AT2 and 583 on AT3. 281 on AT2 and 480 on AT3. At the lower end, AT3 gave 117 while AT2 gave 62 which was my real concern as that is getting in to dangerous territory.

My question is if anyone else has compared theirs and observed the same thing. I'm not sure what else to do as the AT2 strips will become completely unavailable in September and Zoetis honestly is not very helpful.

I am NOT here to advocate to use a "DiFfErEnT BrAnD " strips with your AT2.

I am here to ask: if you like the feel of the AT2, would changing to its human (-meter) equivalent be an option for you in the US?
That is the FreeStyle Freedom Lite. It's the exact same model as AT2, the latter is just painted purple and calibrated differently (and sold for triple the price), with supposedly differently calibrated test strips (again, for triple the price).
I have made the change a little while ago, because 1) I got used to the feel of the AlphaTRAK, 2) this is the only human meter that uses such small amount of blood, and last but not least 3) most protocols here are written for human meters anyway.

Im a newbie so i am not sure if this helps. I never used AT2 since I am new to this, but we checked our cat's glucose on both AT3 and Accu-check. They were similar. AT3 was about 50 higher, but most of the time, they were pretty close. My cat is between high 300 - high 400, so I don't need to worry about having too low though.
