Taz's ears aren't bleeding as much anymore, even when warm. The poor guy is getting tired of being poked numerous times and getting his ears squeezed to get any blood. Is there a way to better the blood supply again? Or do they get too bruised/calloused/tough over time? Maybe less tests every day?

I tested more than 5 times a day…sometimes up to 14 times if Sheba was low and I never found her ears toughened over time.
Are you using both ears and rotating the spots?
Try massaging the ears inbetween testing

I know people have used the paw pads but how I don't know. Obviously there's the sanitary issue and daily alcohol wipes will dry out the pads pretty quickly.
Noah had only one good ear for testing. He loved a warm and wet paper towel rub after testing, it was all I could do.

Did you happen to get new lancets recently that are smaller? Are you still pushing down firmly with the lancet?

I tested multiple times each day for years, typically using the same ear, and never really had any problems. The ears seemed to “learn” to bleed over time and in that way testing became easier. However, I did notice a tendency for the ears to bleed easier when the BG was higher and for it to sometimes be a bit more difficult to get blood when the BG was lower or in normal ranges. Can’t prove a correlation, it was just an observation.
