Alice 7/23 AMPS 95 +3 92, video of Alice playing, PMPS 295 +6 225

+3 was 92.... nice and flat so far! :D
Any suggestions for instructions I can leave the human, for when to test today? Otherwise it will be: test at +5 or +6, feed a small snack every couple of hours, call me if below 60. Sounds about right, yeah? Human doesn’t follow instructions well sometimes so I have to keep them simple. Otherwise what I’ve asked for gets all jumbled. Nothing like a house full of ADHD humans. :p

Watching Alice play last night was beautiful. I sent that video to a friend who has helped us some and keeps up with Alice, she said most people wouldn’t put so much work into a “senior cat” and I realized I have never thought of her as “senior” because she is forever and ever my little baby. I remember watching her and her brother learn to climb the stairs in my old townhouse. It slowly took them about four steps, mastering one at a time, before they were shooting up and down the staircase like it was nothing. <3 Sometimes I wish I still had stairs.

She's adorable! I always get a chuckle watching them play with their own tails - like 'what is that thing'??? Why does it keep moving?? WHO's in charge here anyway - I'll get you, you devil-tail!!! So cute!!

And she's a poster cat for the results of a little time and patience! She's come so far! Beautiful!! Great job mama! Best on your instructions today with the hoomans... I know exactly what you mean and my hooman here isn't even ADHD...I say 9:30, he does 10:30...WTH??? Oh well...glad at least that hooman gets a late test...better that than none...

Have a great day!

Yesterday ...

Here is her video playing from last night, ignore the sound of the cartoons in the background. :p

So clearly she wants to show me some action after two cycles mostly flat yellow. I’ll have to leave around +4 ish to visit my mom, but other human can be CG for me today.
Adorable!
Will you post a before and after... I think I saw you do this recently somewhere, of Alice. One pic was of a few months ago, the other was recent.
I think this would be a clear reminder to other (newbies) how kitty will and can get better :cat: :bighug:
Thanks and I hope you both have a happy and healthy day!

Cassandra, seeing that video is beyond marvelous. What a change in her appearance and activity. She is a miracle baby, no doubt. And it's because of you working so hard and diligently, and to the members that helped you through all the crises with advice and support. Raising a virtual glass in celebration!
I do wish some of the new members that are struggling so hard with similar issues could see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Alice is living proof. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Alice looks so cute in the video! My Peggy Sue chases her tail like that. Thanks! It put a needed smile on my face.:)

Wow....just wow!!!

What a story!! From "at death's door" from a DKA to a very happy, healthy looking cat!!

You've done an awesome job with her Cassandra!!
Very much yes. And this is proof of why I refused to give up on her when so many suggested I should. Thank you so much Chris for all your help. Please pass this on to others involved with DCIN if you’d like. I want all of you to see again what a difference you make. :)

I will look for the sickly photos and the healthy photos both soon, and see if I can put something together or make a main health post of the difference so I can more easily link it and not waste server space uploading the same pics again and again!!! And yes I did post a DKA hospital pic plus a recent photo to someone new recently.... now I can’t remember who.

Every single one of you is just as much a part of her recovery and we are always and forever grateful to FDMB members for your support and knowledge. <3

wish I had the capacity to shoot a video while Catcat is playing tetherball with his koi-on-a-ribbon .. or kicking the stuffing out (NOT) of his BeanieBaby in his catnip-scented , flannel lined, box ...

Alice's recovery is nothing short of a miracle -- gives us all hope
You said you had an iPad/tablet or something?? That should take video! I can walk you through stuff like that and how to upload it on YouTube sometime if you’d like. I would love to see Catcat in action!!! :D

would enjoy that one day when I'm not so short on sleep and stressed out trying to figure out what's going on with Catcat

thought this was a stable sort of day, then he threw me a higher PMPS than I was expecting

it's an iPad 5 I believe -- may have access to an iPad Air but have been told that isn't functioning correctly

I saw that, I remembered. It was a chilling reminder of how she looked, not too long ago.
-Your countless hours of pure dedication to this little one. Gosh, I remember when you would/were lying on the bathroom floor (her little hospital room) with Alice <3.
A phenomenal human being you are.
Alice thanks you for being you :cat: :bighug:
