I once had an art project I was working on with mixed media that was supposed to have a cat in space.... it was going to be titled “Ground Control to Major Tomcat” :D
 
Alice has now thrown up a total of twice today. Would you consider giving Cerenia at this point? Or anything?? She is meowing like she wants to be fed, again. So I am confused!
 
Try feeding her a very small amount - some times people spread it around on a plate - add some water to thin it out...

I used to be like that when I was pregnant - I was very sick for 5 months - but also hungry! Arrrrgggghhh...I'd leave the table to go throw up - then come back famished - gross but what can you do. :arghh: I have a sensitive stomach so it doesn't take much to upset my tummy either.

Have you looked at Slippery Elm Bark (SEB) for nausea? It's an herbal supplement kind of thing - so if she nauseated for whatever reason that might help. Poor little girl...I feel her pain.

Hope she feels better quickly and can keep her fuds down...and get those numbers to go along with that idea... :bighug:
 
Feeding smaller amounts is what I had decided on for now, too. It’s just that her running higher and vomiting are precursors etched into my memory of DKA.....! Haven’t caught a ketone test yet.

She is really upset lately also about her ear being tested. It must be extremely sore.
I have also been wondering if she has been having some body pain. She doesn’t snuggle as closely as she used to hardly ever, gets touchy about being touched certain spots I don’t remember her being weird about.

I have concerns about her staying hydrated when she is running higher BGLs, then add vomiting...... so I was already giving her a watery mix of food since AMPS..... maybe it made her want to eat more/too much because it wasn’t rich enough. Shrug!
 
PMPS is 271, moved up about 26 minutes to try and get back on schedule. Surprise drive to take human to a work type thing, will not be able to do +2, but I think she will hold tight for a little extra time.

I'm on the fence, undecided o_O - about that :confused:

on the one hand, I like the idea -- on the other hand we're only just barely into the greens, I'd like to see more, but in the MIDDLE of the cycle

this dinnertime low point -- twice now -- messes with my head
I need to quit falling asleep in the afternoons, get a test or two then ..
I did intend to do that today, fell asleep with a purring cat on my arm, and my finger still stuck in my place in the book

would be glad too, to have a .5u dose -- easier to line up with a syringe mark, than estimate halfway-between
 
how's Alice's nausea doing? I too wish they could tell us in a way we could comprehend, what's going on

I see cat looking at me, fixedly, as if trying to plant an idea in my head -- and sometimes they will do what I visualize in my mind, before I say anything

I admit, I cringe at every .25 and .75 dose!!! Thankful for half dose increments and tend to hope Alice stays on those longer. :p
What about a skinny version of your .75?
I like Alice in greens too. But the than anything, I just want her below that renal threshold because that’s when she will feel better. So Catcat is good just getting blues if that’s what works for you right now. :)

I think after a period of difficult sugar cat nursing and testing and stress and not sleeping as much, that extra naps become inevitable.... I have kicked myself a few times for not testing Alice because of a nap.

She seems to be doing better as far as her tummy goes. Maybe I just fed wrong. She was clearly on a bounce and I think somehow overnight she got cut off from the room with her food in it so maybe she got a little low and uncomfortable and then ate tooooop fast and who knows..... as long as she is eating again and not going into ketone shock state I am good right now. Lol.

I think we should sleep. Haha.
 
sleep well -- am on the west coast so it's still just after 9, and I'm staying up til 10 which will be more or less a +3 -- see how he's doing after a nice supper and a test at +1 with minimal food

I do forget your coastal time difference once in awhile! But my, I’d be glad to be getting to bed by 10pm, myself!! :D
