Alice 6/18 AMPS 125/108 | PMPS 232

so I tested Alice 20 minutes before shot time, expecting her to be below a PS value of 150, and she was, at 125. I re-tested at her shot time this morning (moved up 15 min) and she was 108. I still shot 4u. I think her numbers will come up with food because I didn’t get up enough last night for her, I think. Anyway I’ll be doing a +1 and I will feed with higher carbs if needed. As long as she is being monitored and I have had rest (which I got some of, yay!!!) I am getting more confident in being able to feed her lows, and I’ve never caught her shark swimming........ close but not quite. I think her pancreas has just a little action back, too. :)

She had a little hairball vomit overnight, but that has been normal for her lately because it is spring, and with the wet food I have noticed they come up smaller and more easily.

Thanks. I’m worried about if it was a “wrong” decision or not since she wasn’t showing that her levels were rising at PS, instead it had dropped, but I didn’t wake up enough times to check on her last night so I think she fasted a little longer than usual, plus she had been on the way down from a FS with possible bounce action...... I figured she can take the extra food so I can afford to feed higher carbs if needed. :)

Nice start to the day for Alice! hopefully she doesn't go too low... nice intervention with the MC :)

How is she healing? have you heard back about her mammary tumor?

Her stitches are looking good, I haven’t given her any more bupe because she’s seemed relatively comfortable and when I give it she hides in her cubby. I have not heard back about the biopsy yet but I was giving it a week before I call, which is tomorrow. Perhaps she will call today. I’ve been thinking about here and now because otherwise I would go mad with worry about the results!!!

We are having a great time, too.

I think she looks really healthy, her fur has a fluff that I haven't seen since you started posting pics of her! I'm happy shes healing well and I am hopeful that the biopsy is negative for anything harmful.

Aww and today is also exciting because Alice’s grandma sent her a big box of Sheba snacks from chewy today. (I love my mother.) The chicken in natural juices pate ones make her so excited about eating LC. She just can’t have any until she’s running safe numbers. :p

So I do need to leave, about 45 min away, sometime later today. I can continue to have her monitored by the other test-capable human, when I go. But I’m the one that makes the decisions on her care so I’d like to get past the more complex portion of what to feed when.

She just climbed into my lap and she hasn’t done that in awhile!!! <3

So she is super cute. I guess she got her little shirt sleeve tube top dirty and I came back in and she had taken it off. I cut a new one and will wash the other.

But!!!

+4 is 54 so should I do MC or HC now? Anyone?

ETA gave her a bigger spoonful of MC, because the overall quantity of food she can have could increase at this point, again. Her tummy doesn’t feel near full, for her.

Her PM cycle isn’t over for a bit.... she just woke me up for a meal.
I got a +2 and haven’t tested since because she had only come down 50 points and basically I needed sleep. I hope that’s okay. I’ve been more tired the past few days, and I figure the sleep debt is catching up to me.
I also figure her ears could use a break, a little.
Looks like she had some diarrhea over part of the night. :( maybe from the gravy from AM cycle lows. I honestly need to figure out what can be fed as HC that doesn’t have the wheat in it that makes it gravy.... :\
