Alex went to the vet today

and he was soooo well behaved I wondered if I had the right kitty.

Vet didn't think the weeping eye was an issue. Thought maybe just a little irritated. Told me to hold off a few days and if he still has a watery eye, then he will prescribe an ointment. He listened to his heart and chest and said all sounded good. Alex's BG at their office was 229 (not bad at all). I showed the doctor my SS and he didn't like the 400's, but didn't recommend changing anything since Alex sometimes has nice green nadirs on 1.8. He weighed 10 pounds and that's what he's weighed for several years. Doctor also didn't have an issue with what we're feeding. They took blood and those results should be back on Wednesday. He did say a dental would be a good idea sometime this year, but his gums didn't look too bad--just some plaque. Unfortunately, since he is an internist, he doesn't do cleanings. When we got home, it was Alex's snack time and he was happy to chow down. Audrey appeared more stressed than Alex as I didn't see her for hours after we got home. :mrgreen:

All in all, I felt pretty good about our visit. We will keep trying for regulation, but realize this might be as good as it gets.

Alex well behaved at the vet - Wow! I am impressed. Sounds like a great visit. Looking at the ss, you are so close to being regulated. The pinks at preshot could be blues at previous nadir and small bounces? If not, and if you can get some nadirs every few cycles to be sure of that, you might try a sliding scale?

Sounds like a good day! Good for you both!

When one of my guys comes back smelling like the vet, the others hiss and carry on! Fortunately, most haven't been TO the vet lately, as she comes to us for the annual "tune-ups"! It just took getting everyones' annuals aligned - and it sure saves me the headache of making several trips! Yes, I'm spoiled... but it saves the vet's time as well.

Great numbers and weight... hoping Gray will find his hips again soon!

What a nice BG Alex had for a vet trip!
Sounds like hes maintaining his weight and is doing well.
Glad he was calm and cooperative at the appointment.
