Alex has had a nice day today--both numbers on the spreadsheet and his actual behavior.

We haven't seen any "green" numbers for the last 2 weeks. Should I remain at this dose, or should I raise him to 1.4 or so?
Like I say, I think he's going really well, but we're always striving for better.
 
Since you are getting decent numbers and your PS's are coming down I think I would try a 1.3u.

The 1.4u looks like it was giving you uneven cycles and some lowish PS's. I know it's just a drop but hey.
 
Better baby steps than big steps and having to backtrack. If 1.3 doesn't work, going up to 1.4 is easy. If 1.4 doesn't work first, then you deal with rebound and whatnot, and have to go back and start over. I'm with Robin. At these doses, it looks like "just a drop" matters. Incredible how a kitty like Kitty can drink 11 or 12 units a day, and Alex, or Christina's Chocolate react tremendously at 1.somethings and less.

so, after deciding that I was going to give him just a tiny bit more insulin this morning, his
AMPS - 178. We fed him and DH says he attacked his food.
at about +1 - 372. I stayed with 1.2.
 
interesting preshot number there.
kinda glad you stayed with the 1.2....
jsut some input...I think next time you dont have to wait one hour before checking and shooting
they usaully rise pretty quickly after the +12 and eating
maybe 20 minutes and retest
