We got home today and it was time for the poke. Alex was at 387, but I swear he seems to feel better when he BG #s are higher. Anybody else notice this with their kitties?

I got a ketone test in (negative, yay!), he played a little with his laser mouse and is now resting. Still to come: the infamous foot soak

I can't wait until the foot soak update.

They get used to the higher bg's and the normal bg's feel bad at first. We need to get them used to the lower ones again.

I have seen several others say something similar. I never saw that with Bix though, he got pretty lethargic in higher numbers, and perkier as they would come down. I wonder sometimes if it's from the changes - back and forth from high to good, even if the drop isn't technically steep, it still probably feels funny? Just guessing.

I always thought Kitty seemed perkier in higher numbers also. But, now that she is staying in "better" numbers, she seems to be adjusting to them and acting better on the "lower" numbers.

How did the foot soak turnout last night?

DH says he was going to do the foot soak, but he didn't even try! I guess he couldn't find enough calming collars.
It really is a two-person job. Maybe we'll try a tag-team approach tonight.

Has Alex has his "spa treatment" yet?
Glad hes feeling good and no ketones even with the higher numbers.

We're going to try again tonight, but he won't stay still for more than a few seconds at a time. Not sure if it's going to be any help or not.
