Alex - 8/18 what a day!

I'm embarrassed to tell you guys what has transpired today, but in summary

DH let me sleep in a few extra minutes b/c it's my b'day. When I got up and asked about Alex's numbers, he told me and said he shot 1.1. I freaked b/c that's our normal dose--not the dose for an under 200 level. Anyway, we both had to go into the office, so we fed and tested an hour later and he was up a tiny bit, but not much after his breakfast. We left the house and I fretted most of the day. Couldn't contact neighbor to ask him to come over and finally, around 2:00, DH came home and you can see that +9!!!! nailbite_smile Alex met him at the door and was very playful. He fed him a few pieces of dry and one hour later, he's up to 95. Now he's at 264.

The big question: what should I shot now????

I had looked at your SS before you posted. I thought you had lost your mind shooting the 1.1. Obviously he survived, but I have to wonder what his numbers were mid cycle. He normally doesn't nadir at the +9 or +10 range--so, you have to think he was lower.

He is alive, so I guess it would be hard to argue the dose wasn't okay---but, if I shot that again knowingly into a 150 number, I would do it when I was home to test the cylce.

What are you thinking about shooting tonight?

thinking about staying with 1.1 or going down to 1.0.

Exactly what I was thinking....I think either are okay. The 1.1 worked last night on a higher preshot...but, left you almost unshootable this morning. Try the 1.0 and see if it will allow you to be at a more shootable number in the morning. If it is short, you can go right back to 1.1 in the morning.

Do you leave food out for him when you're gone? Might be a good idea! :smile: I always freeze some & put it out when I'm leaving in the morning. I'm glad it turned out ok!

Looks like you are getting some great numbers these days, awesome! It usually takes some tweaking to get them exactly where you want them, and thankfully they are pretty hardy and usually will tolerate a little bit of extra oomph and do just fine. Looks like no bounce from the lower numbers, so that seems like a good sign to me that he didn't actually hit hypo numbers. I'd be more worried if the +9 was a red number, then you can guess something didn't go so well. Hopefully he just had a nice green surf and a good day!

I put food in the PetSafe, so he gets a lunch time snack. And every tidbit is gone by the time we get home.
