? Advice re doing a glucose curve when kitty is bouncing

We are finally at a point where Stumpy has been on the same dose for nearly 1 week, and so its approaching glucose curve time, but we think he is bouncing. I am wondering how this might impact doing a glucose curve. He is varying anywhere from 150-350, but tends to be in the 290-350 range in the am. But some days he goes down a lot more than others at his +6 glucose measure (e.g. some days he can be around 155, others 300). So, we are thinking we might get a very different result depending what kind of day it is.

Any advice on how best to proceed, so we can get the most useful information?

Thanks very much

You have to try to guess when he might be breaking the bounce in order to time the curve. Last little while he's been hitting blues during the day every other day. Maybe tomorrow a good time for a curve? If you can get a before bed test in the PM cycle more often, that will also be a good clue. Many cats go lower at night.

Thanks very much, we'll give the glucose curve a go on the next day we think he'll be low and when we are both home. Unfortunately, that is not today.

Another question re testing before bed pm, for us that is at the +3 time point, is that ok? To get the other ones in his spreadsheet we had to get up in the middle of the night which is havoc to our sleep cycle. But if you think the +3 is still very useful we can definitely do more of those.

Appreciate your help.

+3 is a great time for a before bed test. If you see a big drop between PMPS and +3, you know it'll be an active cycle, which could mean either a later test or leaving out some more food to help him stay safe.

Thank you so much for that advice. It will certainly make life easier. I am stressing out over trying to get Stumpy sorted, and lack of sleep doesn't help.
