Advice please

Hi everyone, new member and in desperate need of advice.
My baby got diagnosed back in February. He was started on glargine and has the free style libre to continously monitor his blood sugars. His appetite has been decreasing since he was diagnosed and hes been dehydrated. We have given medications for nausea, appetite stimulants, fluids under the skin and etc. But now he is on his 5th day of not eating. Lost about a pound in the last 2 weeks or so. Last fluids he got was at the vets on Friday. Typically he would eat after fluids or getting the Mirataz...He has been having trouble walking but its worse now... unsure if its from the medications we have given. Around 2 weeks ago we decided to let him go but at the Vet... he perked up and we decided to take him home....
Now my husband and I are thinking about letting him go again because he hasn't ate for 5 days and he's weak...
Would like advice on whether to continue with treatment or let him go... just don't want my baby to suffer but I want to make sure we tried all we could.
 
Has he been checked for pancreatitis? Every week or two since January, my guy Taz has been having flare ups where he'll stop eating and we have to syringe feed him for a few days until he feels better and starts eating on his own.
 
He was admitted to the hospital for pancreatitis about 3 weeks ago and was given IV fluids..he bounced back...Now. the Vet said pancreatitis could be a possibility again.... that an option would be to admit him again. I gave him prednisolone because they found masses on his lungs a couple of weeks ago and gave him the wet food juices in a syringe with it and it was awful.

How do you give Taz the syringe feedings? And were you giving subq fluids too?

Taz has been having flare ups every week or two since he was hospitalized for pancreatitis at the beginning of January. They did an ultrasound on him and found that he also has cysts on his pancreas.

For Taz, I can now recognize the early warning signs of a flare up coming on, and i start cerenia and Bupe as soon as possible. As soon as he walks away from a meal, we begin syringe feeding because it only gets worse from there and early intervention is the best method. We usually get him eating again on his own within 3 or 4 days. We do not give sub fluids at home because my vet doesn't think it's necessary. But we do make sure to give plenty of water in his syringes of food though. 1/4 cup water pureed with 1 can of moist food. We use a magic bullet to make sure it's a nice rich creamy consistency. We also ordered some syringes from Amazon that have nice big openings to help the food to not clog the openings. It's messy, especially if they fight you, but it's desperately needed. Wrap a towel around him and go slowly (plunger should be at a side angle so you don't squirt food down the throat).

Okay... I gave him Cerenia subq on Friday and the doc gave me another syringe of it. I also have Buprenex still..

I was worried after I gave the cerenia because his coordination got worse.....
So I've been reluctant to give it...

So give both with syringe feeding?

I'm not familiar with liquid cerenia, except that it supposedly stings when given. We give pill form here. I would definately get liquids and food into him if at all possible. Loss of coordination can be from the pain (it was Taz's first symptom when he was hospitalized) or it can be from dehydration or any other number of reasons. It might be a good idea to have him seen by a vet just to rule everything out and to get him rehydrated.
