Advice please - skeptical of vet

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of update.

After the bloods came back last week Timmy got the all clear, everything looked good. Kidneys where ok and no ketones. The vet also thought he was bouncing and advised a drop to 2u. Then he got very sick and spent a few days in with the vet on more fluids. He came home last night but I knew something was very wrong, his ears and paws where freezing and I struggled to get blood from his ear at all. He also was trying to hide and run away. Not eating or drinking and being sick. Visit to the vet this morning and he had lost a lot of weight and had a really low body temperature. Vet gave the news I expected, but I wanted to bring him home for a few more days. However when I brought him home he was crying, sick and hiding.

Unfortunately he passed away earlier this evening. I am gutted....
 
Oh no..... I'm just absolutely stunned-- how awful. I wasn't expecting to hear this. You must be absolutely heartbroken.

I am so sorry. RIP little Timmy, fly free and land softly.
 
Oh Matthew. I am so so sorry. You did absolutely everything possible for Timmy - I really admire your dedication.

Try to remember the good times with him, and not the times when he's been sick.

There is a Grief forum on this board if you need to share your feelings with those who truly understand... you are among friends here.

I'm just so sorry.

I lost my precious Tuxie a few weeks ago and the pain is still so hard to bear. But always remember all the love you gave and received from Timmy and how you did everything you possibly could to give your baby more quality time. We grieve so deeply because we loved so much. May the memories of happy times give you some peace and strength at this sad sad time.

Matthew, I am so sorry to hear Timmy has gone to the bridge. You did everything you could to help him. He was very lucky to have you as his special person just as you were lucky to have him. Rest in peace sweet Timmy! cat_wings>o :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: for you Matthew.
 
You dedicated so much of yourself to helping him as best you could, Matthew. :bighug:
