With my dad in the hospital 1.5 hours away it's been a challenge to test Robbie frequently, be at work enough hours etc. I really want to do a curve today so I've started at 9am (after a 6am wake up MEOW from Robbie - standard for him - tested 263 and gave a large snack) I sat on the couch expecting to start every hour testing and totally passed out and didn't wake up till 8:30 (Robbie next to me contentedly sleeping) very usual for me but I've not been sleeping well. So I started the testing at 9am (323), gave him his shot at 9am and fed him some more food too as he only got a "snack" amount at 5:45. Tested again at 10am (316) and will continue this until 6pm when I have to leave as my Dad is having a procedure done tonight and I want to be there with my step mom. I won't be home till about 10 (I'm leaving in time to be home than no matter what this is not life and death for my dad just potentially life altering). So I'll test him immediately BUT am concerned about messing with the times of his shots again - we've finally gotten on a 12 hour cycle that works (more or less) and I'm wondering how others out there handle this when life gets in the way? I have someone who will come check on Robbie and take the drooler Ginger for a walk and I'll have given him his main dinner before I leave. I could conceivably get home as late as 10:30 but I'm shooting for before 10.
Thank you.
