Advice on making a cat comfy through Multiple Myeloma and or Lymphoma

Sweet Olive
My 9-yro baby, Olive (non-diabetic) hasn't been eating properly for about a week's time. She was somewhat lethargic or hiding at times for hours, though she has always been a loner she seemed a little bit lost and confused. She also was letting her brother cuddle with her which was unusual. She was drinking a lot so I immediately had a concern in the back of my had that she may be diabetic. She had lost 2lbs in a week, and was quite skinny.
I managed to get her into the vet. They did some imaging, finding nothing obvious on the imaging, her temperature was 102. They did some bloodwork and found things that made has made my vet strongly consider Lymphoma and or Multiple Myeloma, though they said it is possible that there is a hidden infection somewhere, they said it was much less likely than the two possible cancer diagnosis, and that if this was indeed one of these two it has spread to her bone marrow, and caused severe non-regenerative anemia as she has slight respiratory stress (somewhat obvious breathing with her abdomen, visible near her hips). They gave her a life expectancy of 2mo as long as her quality of life holds and she begins eating with the medication they prescribed her. I could not afford the 300 dollar price tag to confirm the cancer, so she is also receiving an antibiotic as a sort of elimination test, which the vet said; if there is an infection than we will likely see improvement in 3-5 days time. She seems in good spirits today, though she is wandering a bit more and relatively stressed from the vet visit, while she was not very vocal despite being a vocal cat the last couple of days, she has began vocalizing again and getting excited when she is approached. She has a had a fatty tumor since she was a year old, which has disappeared over the last two weeks, it was on her right side near her primordial pouch on her stomach.

My question is; I've never dealt with this sort of heavy, potential diagnosis with any of my pets, and I am searching for advice in making the remaining days or weeks as comfortable as possible before her quality of life goes downhill. Part of me wants to give her tons of attention and love her to pieces over the next days or weeks, but the other part of me says it is better to respect the usual activities she participates in which tends to be observation and being a loner. I feel that it may be more kind to let her exist as she has always despite my want to give her tons of affection. All advice or ideas, or opinions are welcome. I'll throw in her blood work results for some more context for anyone who is curious or would like to see, as well as the x-rays. (none include my personal information, obviously)

Sorry to hear your kitty is so unwell. What medication has she been prescribed so far? I'd focus on making sure she's not nauseous or in pain, or any other discomfort. Spoil her as much as she will let you.

She has been prescribed prednisolone and liquid amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium.
We are getting the test result back tomorrow which will confirm or deny the cancer.

She has been eating A LOT more now, but only wants wet food, she has gone through two cans and seems to be her usual self, so that is a plus :)

Update:
Olive is doing well despite everything, we got the test results back and Lymphoma is likely as she's responding well to the medication in combination with the test results. They gave her about 2-4mo. They said they noticed her liver enzymes were slightly elevated as well.

She's eating really good, using some of Zot's leftover wet food that I couldn't bring myself to donate yet. She's drinking well, using the litter box, and enjoying the heating pad that we have setup for her :))

What test(s) did they run to confirm cancer?

I’m also curious … did they rule out FIP? There are several things on her bloodwork that are consistent with FIP, along with the fever, weight loss, etc. I lost one cat to it and pulled another back from the brink of death, so I guess it’s always in the back of my mind. A lot of vets don’t really consider it.

I hope Olive continues to feel better. Cancer is a hard diagnosis to get.

They did a protein electrophoresis serum, and they said there is still a chance it's not cancer but they believe that it is likely. I was actually considering calling to discuss this when I go to pick up some cat food today, because I heard that FIP can remain dormant. I think it may have been overlooked since she has been an indoor cat most of her life, but she was born a stray, and all of them were sick with goopy crusty eyes when they were younger, so it does make me wonder.

Apart from that test it was just the bloodwork, x-rays, that I've posted above. and an ultrasound which came back with nothing of note.
Basically the noted things that they spoke about at the appointment were; Her blood is thinner than they usually see in this condition, they were surprised about the potential cancer diagnosis considering Olive's demeanor. They were initially confused as to why a fatty tumor she's had her whole life was suddenly gone, which we chalked up to her body burning fat reserves and shrinking the tumor along with it. They said it was odd that there was also no fluid build up outside the lungs, which they said they typically saw frequently, and there is no obvious evidence of tumors or cancer that can be seen on the imaging, it was mainly just a combination of the blood work in addition to the PES they did.

EDIT: Left a request/question for my vet in regards to it, he won't be back in until Monday, but it will be passed along. :)

Glad to hear she's eating well. That may be a side effect of prednisolone, which is part of the treatment for many conditions, besides cancer too. The ultrasound results sound good too.

Lymphoma is a pretty broad category of cancers. Any mention of where or what type? Small cell lymphoma is one I have quite a bit of experience with, and it's very slow moving and cats can go into remission with it with a mild chemo. Large cell is a different story, different treatment and depends where it is.
