advice on good BG levels

Hi there, I am a new member and just finished loading the spreadsheet. I would appreciate any advice on Good BG levels. All numbers I entered on the sheet show green. The urgent Care vets who initially helped Marmalade sent her home with us saying anything below 12 give no dose. She was on a half unit at the time. She went into remission for a time which gave us the chance to fix her teeth as she was in a lot of pain. This put her right back into high blood sugar and our vet refused to prescribe Lantus for us. For a short time she was on Canisilin..sp? and then I had enough and found out I could just go buy it myself. As my vet refuses to treat her on Lantus we are kind of going by what we knew from the urgent care instructions. We started her back on half a unit and ended up at 2 units. recently changed her food from Vet DM dietetic management to Fancy feast.. and dropped her dosage to 1 unit at same time. The we dropped the dosage to half a unit to stay on safe side as her levels are much lower than where they were and not seeing the massive swings we were seeing. She seems to be feeling much better and more social. Right now we are testing twice a day. So looking at the spreadsheet that is used on this site, curious on thoughts for her levels.

You are entering the blood sugar values on the US tab or mg/dL part of the spreadsheet, but should be entering on the World or mmol/L tab. That is why all values are showing as green. The world version of the spreadsheet will convert the numbers to US numbers for you. Then, unfortunately, you will see the swings.

Hi there Wonderful Marge and Gracie Fixed my spreadsheet for me. I think I get how to input correctly going forward. ... now that we see all the colors we just need a slow and steady approach to bring them into the green.
