Advice needed, non urgent

Hi there. I’m starting to get a little frustrated. While Oswald generally seems healthier, his number aren’t getting any better. In fact they seem to be slightly worse. I’ve upped his dosing twice now. Can anyone take a look at his spread sheet and offer any advice? I can do another curve day to get a better look at his numbers.

He eats 3/4 can friskies at shot times(6am and 6pm). 1/2 can at 10am, 2pm, 10pm, and 2am.

With SLGS, the idea is to get the curve after a week. Between your daily numbers and the curve, you make a decision regarding increasing the dose.

You don't want to stick with a dose that's not having much of an effect on numbers. If you hold a dose too long, glucose toxicity can develop. The name sounds awful. What it means is that your cat's body starts to treat the high numbers as the new "normal" versus being better regulated.

Ohhh! Very good to know! Thank you!

so Oswald had his shot at 6am, can I start his curve at 10am and go to 10pm? Or is it best to start curve right after shot?

I've never started a curve at any time other than at AMPS. The basic idea it to get at least a full 12-hour period from shot to shot so you know when nadir falls and onset begins. If your first test is 4 hrs after shot time, you may miss onset (which is typically around +2).
