My cat was diagnosed in Dec and I have had an unsatisfactory (huge understatement) experience with my vet since diagnosis. I have had the same vet for 15 years but it's been just a very bad experience in working with them on this issue. I am looking for a new vet in the Natick area (Framingham, Wellesley are fine) - I am switching away from Slade. Any advice on vets who especially good at working with diabetic cats woudl be greatly appreciated. It was (as you all know) very stressful getting the diagnosis and having a bad experience with my vet has compounded the stess quite a bit. Today was the final straw -- he boarded for two days while I was away and was supposed to have a glucose curve while he was there and they just didn't do it...no explanation forthcoming as to why it wasn't done when I picked him up so that's the end of them for me.
Thank you for your help and I appreciate having this site, it helped a lot to have all these resources in one place when I was dealing with the stress of the diagnosis.
