Advice for CRF Civie Upset tummy/food change

Wondering if I can give Pepcid to my CRF civie.
Trying to do a slow food change to get him on a better food for his CRF has left him constipated
yesterday and vomiting.
I am hoping he can take to this food because #1 he loves it and 32 it is better for him.
He is also a super picky, only wants wet seafood flavors cat.

Do I go back to his old food while tummy settles and try again or keep where I am at?
Thing is, he barely ate any of his old food...this he gobbles right up.
He is only about 7lbs.

He is drinking fine.

Pepcid is fine (2.5 mg once or twice a day). Are you mixing the old and new or did yo just switch cold turkey? If not try mixing more of the new food daily.
