A friend's cat was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Since I know there are a lot of members on this list that are dealing with this with their cats, is there any advice you have for helping her to manage this for her cat?

My scamp has DM and pancreatitis and she is on cerenia at the moment but there is a fantastic website (actually not as good as this one though, imo). Groups.yahoo.com. Feline_Pancreatitis_Support

Which had helped with one of Scamp's "brothers"!!

Hope that helps

You really have to watch the kitty for signs of nausea and pain, they are tricky and can hide it. Sniffing food and walking away, smacking the lips are signs of nausea. Meatloafing, squinting, head resting high, are signs of pain. I keep a good supply of Cerenia(my Tiger is a vomiter) for nausea and vomiting; Famatodine to help if there is excess acid; bupe for pain. I am sorry your friend's kitty is having to deal with this, and wish her the best! :bighug:
