All I have read prescribes much larger dose and importance of loading up initially?

I used to give J.D. 12.5 units using my u100 insulin syringe. Is that 0.125ml? I just did some searching through my spreadsheet a little, and found I gave him from 0.125ml to 0.17ml every other week. Sorry, it's been so long.., I don't remember the reason for the fluctuation, but from looking at my spreadsheet it looks like I wrote 0.125ml is 12.5 units on a u100 insulin syringe.

dose is 0.3 on a 1ml syringe

This dose is given very 4 days for a total of 8 shots (the loading dose) and then 1x a month up to 1x a week depending on cats needs and it can change. Just don't go beyond a month or will need to reload. More than 4 days apart is not useful.

However, subQ seems to be equally as good as IM. I am using the latter for two of my civis.
