Oliver is on his way to remission (we are skipping doses left and right!) and his appetite has become unpredictible. He is currently only eating Friskies pate and Fancy Feast classics but he's not eating all of his normal meal amounts and I'm throwing some of it away. I'd like to try leaving out some dry for him to nibble on since that was his primary diet before his diagnosis. Will the Young Again Zero Carb mess up his numbers? I don't want to risk sending his numbers back up again!

There's mixed experience on the Zero Carb. Some have had success with it. Some have found that it gave their kitties digestive issues and stinky poo. And some have found that it spiked their kitties' numbers...

Any chance you can leave wet out for him to nibble on...? Even if that means using a timed feeder...?

Have you read the Yellow Sticky note by Dr. Pierson,Why not to feed ANY dry food? Do you want to risk Oliver going back on Insulin? It's not just the carbs that cause the problem!

I've been here over a year & I've seen kitties go into remission just by stopping ALL dry food.
