wondering if I can get some advice. I’m trying Slippery Elm Bark - do I need to allow time between feeding SEB and insulin injection?

But allow 2 hours if you are giving oral
Medications.

They can taste it, so I mix 1/4 of a tsp of Slippery Elm with a about a tsp of beechnut beef + beef broth baby food then I add a tablespoon of water & mix that in.

Thank you. I bought the brand Natures Way but read the label and there are other ingredients besides SEB. I suspect the other ingredients are what the capsule is made of. I emailed the company to be sure. Waiting…

yes you need to make sure it is just SEB you are giving

Mine was given to me by a very gracious member on here in a big zip lock baggie, so not sure on the brand.

I just ordered NOW - it’s pure SEB. Unfortunately the Natures Way had other ingredients in the powder so that’s a no-go for us.

Hello! I was going to say happy Labor Day, Bron, but I realized you’re in Australia. It’s been nice for me to have 3 days off but I think Zappa is completely annoyed with me lol. I constantly follow him to the litter box.
So we are doing 1/4 tsp of Slippery Elm 2x a day - I’m also doing Visbiome 1x per day. We are at a half capsule a day, working our way up to a capsule.

It’s helped a lot but he still has tummy grumbles, mostly in the evening. Should I give him more SEB?

That’s how I do it but with Sheba I used to make up a slurry and give a teaspoon a couple time a day.
Let me find the recipe. It lasts a bout 7 days in the fridge.

I used to put it in broth or food. Make sure you keep it 2 hours away from medications.
