Two Days Ago
I have to type fast because I have to get ready for work in 5 minutes.
I did get a couple of good nights sleep finally.
Two nights ago, Jackson got into some left out spaghetti, again.
This morning, as usual, he was playing with and chasing Sabrina around the house, and then got his test and insulin, ate all his 1 can of FF with lots of water, and then kept going in and out of the litterbox over and over, for about 15 minutes. I'm like now he needs to go to the vet. That was over 2 hours ago. He hasn't done it since, and is currently sleeping on the couch in front of me like normal.
I will call the vet when they open to see what they suggest and watch him like a hawk.
Send vines.
It might have been he was trying to poo, because he kept scratching at the litter first and normally only burys if it's poo.

It's been an hour and he hasn't been back in the litter box.
The vet's office said to watch him, and if he does it again to bring him in.

ooof, i hear you how scary that is. i keep watching zero because since he got diagnosed i notice he takes foreveeeerr in the litter box when he wants to pee. i wonder if it hurts him or what. tests at the vet show no signs of urinary infection but the behaviour is still pretty scary. has he peed again after that 12 hour one?

Jackson!!! Cheech goes in and out sometimes and we noticed it’s right after her brother goes, so she’s probably like ew stinky. We also have 4 boxes (only 2 cats), in 3 different spots with one of them being extra large…and they still go on top of each other.

Could one of the civvies have gotten in there?

No, he was going in for maybe 10 to 15 seconds and hopping out and then turning around and going right back in, over and over. He had been chasing his sister around the house, so maybe it was stress related, but I don't think so as they do that often in the morning. I couldn't tell if he needed to go pee or poo.
Luckily it all resolved itself somehow. After about 15 minutes, he quit doing it.
