Friends...I thought that Mannie had such a wonderful idea in his remembrance of Milo, what a lovely way to share some thoughts on our dear GA buddies.
So here I thought that we could all share some fond memories of Whiskers...our sweet little Miss Witty.

Oh, little one...so many memories of you...surviving the shocking loss of your bean...then coming to share your heart and soul
with Cheryl and be a part of her sister that remained with her for awhile...until it was time for you to join momma at the Bridge.

I will be ever grateful that you shared some insights with me on being a Tortie who was coping with the loss of your bean...
or I might never have seen things from the viewpoint of my adopted sisters Smudge & Annie...
it hadn't occurred to me that they had issues of the heart that needed addressing before we could be a family,
so I thank you for helping me see that.

We miss you terribly, sweet girl...and look forward to the day we can resume our friendship!
Until then, enjoy your freedom and health at the Rainbow Bridge.

For you...I offer an image of a kitty playing, because I know that you feel like a kitten again!

With much love...
Binks

That is a beautiful tribute to Whiskers. I didn't know him for very long, but I did read their story and it was so moving. Cheryl was a wonderful bean to Whiskers, and it seems like he was there to fill the void in her life from losing her precious sister. I really believe these little creatures are angels on missions and when their work is complete, they have to leave us. Fly free, Whiskers!

such beautiful tribute to Whiskers.....she was well loved here....

though she decided to stay a short time....we miss you Miss Witty!!!! but we now you are now with your bean....i know Cheryl (your second momma bean) misses you dearly....but you two will await for her at the bridge until it's her time....but she needs to care for Bandit just yet....so it will be a while until you three are reunited....

Missing Miss Witty!!!!!!!! wings_cat

Oooohhh (((((Celi)))))

I came across this while I was at work, and it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much this group and all of you have meant to us. The last two years have been so difficult, to have people who cared about us, and shared their love has given me some of the strength I have so desperately needed. I miss my sister Sue (she was my best friend, and I need to say her name) and Miss Witty so much. I talked to my psychologist this week, I'm going to take the footprints poem and picture of Witty (that Lorna made us, I'll post it again later when I get home from work tonight), if you remember it is meant to perhaps be my sisters footprints and Witty's pawprints on a beach, and her ashes (I have not yet had the courage to open the box that Witty's ashes came in, how do you do that?) and put them with my sister at the mosoleum(seperate urns, of course). I hope that you can understand and it does not seem strange. ( I was going to bury Witty's ashes in our yard, but someone said "what if you move") They can always be together this way. :YMSIGH:

Having this tribute to Witty means soooo much, I would like to share this with all
of the other kitty's we have lost recently, I would like to name them all but would not want to forget anyone, there have been so so many recently and each and everyone of them and their beans are so very, very special. If you would like to post here that would be lovely.

Thank you (((Nicole, Tessielou, Lisa, PeterDonovanMocha, Claudia))))

I love all you. Thank you for helping to ease our pain.

Cheryl, I think of you and your sweet Miss Witty so often. I think that it is a lovely idea to place her ashes with Sue's. Sending many prayers your way for continued strength, comfort, and healing.

Miss Cheryl? It's me Mannie.... I miss Witty. I remember when she was sick, and we wanted to come and comfort her: me, and the KTSS. We snuck into the vetty hospital. It was so tough and we had to dress up as doctors. But we gots to stay with her a long time that night. I think we made her happy, helped her feel better. We told many stories that night, and she laughed with us. She told us all about her family, and how much she misses her mom, she told us too that she is so happy that she found you, you made her feel whole again. It was a very special time. So when you are sad you remember that she is with you, always. I know I will never forget her. She was my friend.

I send Miss Witty a picture of my favorite place - a beach by my house so she can play in the sand again.

Rusty here to say that I miss my dear Miss Witty very much. She was such a brave girl. We were all so proud of her. I'm so happy that she is now healthy again at the Bridge, running through those lovely meadows with her friends, all of our GAs, and reunited with her first mamabean. Miss Cheryl, your Whiskers is always by your side and she loves you. She will watch over you until you meet again.
Your friend,
Rusty

Celi: such a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do for Cheryl and for all of us in LL who followed Miss Witty's journey. In memory of the wonderful and beautiful Whiskers. We hope she is playing free and happy with her mom, Sue.

Reading this beautiful tribute and Cheryl, your words, with tears in my eyes. Miss Jezebelle's box is, as of yet, unopened as well as I just don't have the strength. She is to be buried on my parent's farm, with our other dear family pets. The ground will likely stay in my family for generations, so I think it is a good place for her remains to rest. But it is 5 hours away, and we have had to wait until spring... so until then, it is just hard. Your idea of placing her remains with your sister is the most lovely of ideas... not strange at all, but rather exactly how it should be.

So glad to read a post from you. ((hug))

I miss mah friend Miss Witty too, Miss Cheryl. She was so nice to me when I wuz new here, an' when I was sad cuz mah Miss Belle had gone to de bridge. I feel bedder knowing she is wif her mama now, an I know dat she an Miss Belle became fast friends. Dey were both such brave girls. --Willie

(((((((((((Cheryl)))))))))))) I think Miss Witty is with your sister and they are both watching over you. I wish I could give real hugs over the web. I know how much you miss them both.

What a beautiful tribute Celi

Miss Witty has touched so many hearts here and is sadly missed.
The two of you found each other under the most unreal conditions and will always
share the tightest bond of all.

Hi (((((Michelle, Randi, Karrie, Christie, Marjorie, Kathie, Ella, Linda, Sienne, CD and Ann))))),

Thank you for the lovely thoughts and photos. I hope you are all doing ok. We really appreciate everyone reaching out to us.

My heart goes out to the other beans who have recently lost their furbabies, and those who are struggling with the health issues of their pets.

It is true, I believe, we are given these special creatures for a reason. The unconditional love and the great loss prepares us to reach out to others and to share what they are going thru. It also shows us how wonderful it is to let other creatures into our lives, there is so much love to share and so many pets in need of loving homes. I have more and more become an advocate of rescue animal adoption.

Take care my friends, and have a lovely Sunday.

Whiskers,

While I did not know you long at all, I loved you. I loved you because the love that your mommabeanS had for you has infected me, and I wouldn't trade that love for anything.

In time, we'll meet where there is no sickness, pain, or sadness - we will only cry out of pure joy in our meeting!

Though, there is no way for me to miss you as much as your momma does, please know that I will never forget you.

Thank you for bringing your momma here. She is a very special woman, and we're going to take really good care of her for you - just as she did for you.

You have brought a lot of people together, and we all miss you and love you.
