This is the second time this has happened to me. Went to feed the cats, opened a cat of what I thought was Fancy Feast Chicken Feast and SURPRISE it was CHICKEN FEAST ROASTED. Look how close the labels are. Be careful and if you get some crazy high numbers, check your labels closely. They were together on the grocery shelf.

ETA: ROASTED CHICKEN is 12 % carbs, Classic is 4 %

Thanks, Bobbie, for posting this heads-up for all FF users. (Same thing happened to me once with 2 other cans - sure wish they'd make it a little easier to I.D. which are which!)

I know really?? But I am afraid if I call Purina and complain, they will say, " hmmmmmm we have a diabetic market here......let's go up in price". BTW, every time I have ever called them to inquire about calories, carbs , or whatever, they send me something free to try.....

I've had the same thing happen but with chicken vs salmon, just about the same can color. Good thing is both are low in carbs, just a matter of taste

I have done it with the chicken and salmon, as well. Some of their cans can very easily be mistaken for others of theirs, and not always ones t hat are okay for our sugarkitties to eat!

The biggest thing they could do for us is change the text where it says "Classics" so it's much larger and not easily missed.

I agree but, as I mentioned above I don't want to complain so they know they have a "special needs" market where they can gouge us more than they do all ready.

Well, you could complain and say that your cat "only eats the Classics" and not mention that he's diabetic. Everyone knows cats are picky and they wouldn't question that at all.
