A new vet at the office applauded me for home testing!

My alternate vet is a bit odd but his staff are devoted to him and you never leave wondering "what just happened and where's my Visa card". Main Street here is slowly changing from old auto body shops to condos. He owns the building and the land (very unusual here) and a huge condo went up behind him. They made him an offer, doubled it, he just refused to go. When the city widened the street he lost almost all his parking but his clients love him. He does his own blood work, you never have to wait, and was the first vet here to use digital X-rays. That was a big deal back then, holding a pad in your hands and being able to see what's what instead of a fuzzy blob. When we had to go to my SIL's memorial he boarded Noah when no one else would and even understood what Noah's 'DNR' meant so for that I owe him everything. He also has a weekend emergency number, something no other vet here has.
