Okay, I know it's that stupid dry. I really am doing my best and I'm pretty sure she'll come down later. But still. That's a majorly sad-trombone number. Ach. Staying calm...

Hope she comes down soon for you Amanda, and :lol: :lol: about rearranging the classroom. It's a shame, but it's their own fault!

Feed some LC (doesn't matter what -- it could be deli turkey) and test in 4 hours -- or 4 hrs after Weeble's AM meal. See if Weeble will bring himself down.

and remember this is only 1 number in a whole slew of numbers - don't get hung up on just one number.

That sample I got AMBG was a little dicey, so maybe it was that. I was going to do it again but I was already 10 minutes late for an appointment. I'm home now.

She ate a tablespoon of EVO about 10-15 mins. before I did that AM test, too.

I brought this over from the thread about syringes. Were you using U-40 needles with Lantus?

I do believe I was, yes.

I'm staring at the box. I don't see any indication either way. What should I be looking for?

Aaaaand. No. I wasn't, I found it. Sorry. They were just the smaller one's with no 1/2 hashmarks.
 
She's not feeling well today. Appetite's crappy and so was the liquid puke and poop. Not all the poop was bad, I should focus on the half that was nice and plump (gross, I know, but this is the world we live in with our animals now, no?) I think that itty bit of cheese was not helpful. I shake my fist at you, IBD!

I'm wondering if her kidneys aren't doing so hot. She's still drinking a lot of water and the urine's really diluted. I'm not even going to begin to try--well, I'm lying, I am going to try to describe what happened this afternoon. She started vibrating. Like somebody put a quarter in her. It wasn't a seizure, she was responsive. It calmed a bit when she stopped purring, but she was periodically shaking with her usual twitch. She seems better after the puke and the poop, but sort of sleepy and icky. Sigh. My brain's exhausted. Both vets just said keep an eye on her. I think I may get some new blood and urine done. Not sure what else to do. Contacted Dr. Pierson for a consultation. Anyone done that? Is it worth the 300 smackers?

And is it day 10? I kept wondering. I am that bad with numbers.
 
Glad to see the +4 came down, sorry to hear she isn't feeling well. I can't help with your questions, either, sorry. But...happy day 10!
 
whew, I'm glad you're using the right syringes! Once we had someone who was using U-40 syringes by mistake, higher dose cat too, it was kind of scary when she figured it out.

No answers about the shaking, sorry.
 
Thanks, guys. And don't feel bad about not having answers--neither do the vets! I'm hoping she'll be back to "normal" tomorrow and give us both a little break.

And J.D. is the handsomest, most dapper gentleman in town!
 
Sorry Weeble isn't feeling well. Any updates for tonight? What is her "normal" twitch?

One reason you may be confused about which day it is is that you put this morning's AMBG for September 10. It is still September 9!

Also, you started skipping shots with an evening shot, so your "day" count starts in the evening. I believe this evening begins day 10 confused_cat -- what the heck, just feel better, Weeble, and keep those greens coming. :mrgreen:
 
Kathy, you might be right. Too many numbers. Not great with the numbers.

Her "nomal" twitch is a head twitch-shake sort of thing. Katharine Hepburn-like. She's been like that for a few years. It's really pronounced when she's purring.

She's still a little icky, thanks for asking. Hopefully whatever day tomorrow is, all will be well again.
