Morning everybody. Well Tori is bright yellow again this morning. It seems to be the trend lately. It doesn't help that she stole some pieces of macaroni and cheese from Ayanna's plate when my back was turned last night. Sneaky little girl. I think it may have upset her tummy a bit though. She is quite subdued this morning and really not interested in eating much. I gave her some Pepcid so hopefully that will help.

Her regular vet called yesterday to see how she's doing. He was out of town when she went for her chemo last Friday. He was concerned about how she's eating. It seems that Tori has lost about 1/4 of a pound over the last month. I was really surprised because every week I always ask if her weight was Ok and was told it was fine. I guess a first the change was so subtle that it wasn't picked up on. He says he's not really worried but is concerned because at first when she started chemo she actually gained some weight. SHe now weighs just over 9 LBS which isn't too bad but he doesn't want to see her loose any more. So of course now I'm worried wondering if there's something going on that we don't know about. All we would need is something new to add to the mix we already have.

So we now have to work at fattening this little one up a bit. I'm going to go out later and get some Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on her food to encourage her to eat more. Any other suggestions? -. remembering that she is a CP kitty and the last thing we need right now would be a flare. I'm afraid my optimism took a bit of hit yesterday. Time to kick myself in the butt and pull myself together. Tori doesn't need that. She's very sensitive to my mood.

Anyway I hope everyone is having a good day. I think I'm going to hit the sack now will catch up with everybody later.

No food suggestions, since I don't know anything about CP, but I am sending lots of healing vines and hugs your way!

My two like the freeze-dried Pure Bites chicken sprinkled on top of the food. 1/4 of a pound doesn't seem to be all that much...I guess he knows what he is talking about though. Has her appetite changed much recently?
Good luck with this though Barb...I would say to just make sure she is eating now...maybe she has a favorite flavor that you can serve more frequently? (uh, yeah....but not macaroni and cheese!) :lol:

I hope you find something Tori likes so she gains a little weight back. A friend's dog lost weight during chemo and once it was over, he gained it back. All crossed she gains a little. I have used frees dried salmon crumbs - they seem to like that.
 
Well she did see blue today even though it was navy. Maybe she's still recovering from the illegal mac and cheese of last night. I did get the parmesan cheese and dusted it over her food this evening. Not really sure if she liked it or not. I'm going to get some Bonito flakes as well. I thought we still had some but can't find it. That used to work. Got to fatten this girl up a bit.

Do any of my fellow Canadians use the FortiFLora? Where do you get it from? I know I could get it from the States but shipping etc. is a real bummer.

Well tonight is my last shift and then I have 2 weeks off. I'm looking forward to it.
