Student Holiday Monday flip_cat ...unfortunately, it's also Teacher Inservice Day Monday :-Q BOOO!

WCR: Most Ps in place. Shasta woke me up about 3am (+9), so I stumbled my way to the potty and didn't think much about her...since she's done this a few times lately. Well, when I did get up for her shot, I found 2 pukes. So, I'm thinking that was why she woke me. Either to say, 'Mommy, my tummy's upset and I puked...sorry.' or 'Mommy, come see what I did...TWICE!' I feel like it's the Shasta from a year ago (not in a good way) when she was vomiting every other day and her appy was either hit or miss. Stressed me out all Fall semester. Freeze dried treats look like the culprit of the pukus, but again... what's the underlying cause? Is there one?

I keep reading Tanya's CKD pages and freaking myself out. Shasta has never been diagnosed w/ CKD and her heart problems were treated based off symptom description & speculation. I just don't know.

Blessings to Jill & Lona and Barb. My heart still aches over your losses. Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Re: 9/9 Shasta AMPS=152

Sorry about the vomit this morning. I hope it was just a one time thing and she's feeling better. Yay on the day off.

Re: 9/9 Shasta AMPS=152

Hope you have a good day. I can't tell from your first line whether the students get the day off but the teachers do not?

I am sending feel better tummy vines to Shasta.

Hi Carla and Dyana -

I'm hoping the vomiting was just because I added shredded treats to her fuds and I don't think she can digest the shredded freeze dried treats that way. Hopefully she's ok while I'm at my inservice day. Dyana, I am sitting in meetings all day... banging my head against a wall with stupid curriculum bs. :YMSIGH: At least I'm with some of my friends, in my own classroom! Hope you all have a great day!

Those blues are nice. Eat yer fuds and get on the surfboard, Shasta! Was the puke mostly liquid? Any hair? Those treats may just not agree with her.

Hi Liz,

Shasta's vomit was mostly liquid with a little bit of hair, but not wads of it and small slivers of Freeze Dried treats. Shasta doesn't typically vomit when she eats her freeze dried treats, but when I put bits of them on her fuds...it just doesn't sit well in her tummy. I haven't done this in a long time, but last night, in my attempt to get her to eat, I was trying to crush it fine enough to be powder form. However, somebody kept knocking my hands and I kept dropping small chunks of them into her fuds...obviously, I didn't think of the ramifications for my carpet! I left her treats in her automatic feeder today and no spots of pukus, so I'm thinking it's just the combo. Sensitive tummy!

Appy was very iffy tonight...well, her first appy, at least. I just put down a small bit of Chunky Chicken and she gobbled up most of it. We did have a very rousing, almost aggressive bout of play. She was very wound up...cute girl!

Hi, Deborah, I'm glad your girl feels energetic tonight! bcatrun_gif

I hope her appy is better tomorrow.
