Good Morning, Everyone,

It looks like a good day for the canoe race. It looks as if I did indeed give yet another fur shot last night! Well, I think the shot went in this morning. Otherwise, everything is fine: Rusty had a good night. He slept with us and is such a loving kitty. He just loves to be with us. Woke up to kitty kisses seconds before the alarm went off. We had a good test (with the exception of the actual number!), 2 sittings of breakfast, hopefully a good shot. Today Rusty is on his own with his automat. His pals are here and they will all have a nice day. Looks like good weather all weekend.

We hope that all is well in LL. Sorry not to visit many condos since arriving at Camp. Thanks for visiting Rusty. Edward and I are off to the first portage (in Inlet on Fourth Lake). Back this evening. Healing vines continue to all who need them.

Hey Kitties: Lots of fun planned for today. Everyone is invited. Some of the gang stayed over and are ready for early-morning paddles and fishing.

Hi guys .. bummer on the furshot, but it happens .. hopefully rusty will be down to his normal numbers tonight at pmps .. I hope the canoe race goes well and that you have a great time!

Rusty! I'm so glad we got to sleep over, 2 OTJ parties to cook for today! We gotta get busy, we promise to clean up the beans' kitchen. -- Tess

Good Evening, Everyone,

We had a perfect day for day 1 of the canoe race, but unfortunately our friend had to drop out 3/4ths of the way through the course because of terrible back pain (he had 2 disk operations last winter). I hope he'll be OK, but it is doubtful that he'll be able to continue with the next 2 days of the race. However, he's very strong, so who knows.

Rusty came down to a high blue by PMPS. I think I gave 2 good shots today, but, again, who knows!!! The kitties had a grand time at Camp today, cooking for the 2 OTJ parties tonight, and they are off to the parties.

Sorry to hear about your friend. That has to be such a disappointment for all of you!!! I hope he gets to continue, but I guess, if not, there will be other races!

Whenever you mention Rusty's automat, I always wonder how many of the youngsters here on FDMB know what the original ones were. I watch a lot of old black & white moves on TCM and I just recently saw one where a few scenes where in an automat. I even saw one movie where the main female character worked behind the automat, filling the empty spaces. The first fast-food restaurants!!
 
Hi Patty, Yep, that's my frame of reference for Rusty's auto feeder!
When I was a little girl it was such a treat to go to the Automat! And even in the early '60s there was still at least one Horn & Hardart that was still an automat. (I was working a few all-night publication deadlines then and at around 3 A.M. we would head out to the Automat that was near Grand Central Station for a slice of pie and 10-cent coffee!)

Rusty, by the way, ate all of the food in his automat today.

Ni ni everyone, Let's hope for better numbers tomorrow.
