I said goodbye to Moondance this morning. He never seemed to be in any pain, for which I am grateful; but whatever tumors were growing in his neck and jaw made it so he could no longer keep food and water in his mouth. He couldn’t clean his face and despised having me constantly wipe drool of his chin. It’s impossible to know, but I think he was ready to go.
Thank you to everyone here for helping me deal with the diabetes. His glucose numbers were looking beautiful, and with your help I expect I could have gotten him into remission. To everyone who is afraid that their cat will hate them for all the testing and shots, I think all the testing and treats over the last two months brought us even closer. To everyone here that gives their time and emotional energy to advise, support, or even just commiserate, know that you are absolutely saving lives by doing so.
