Zener is doing fine this morning. Very nice blue! Appy started a little slow but he ended up eating a tad more than usual. Same for Tillie. Yard patrol was completed. Zener is now napping on the heating pad (yes, we turned it on a couple of weeks ago) and T is in bed with Anne. I'm about to head out to the farmers market. It has been raining but stopped now. Hope it holds off while I'm shopping. Oh well, I'm not made of sugar.

We are devastated by Charlie's passing yesterday, on her OTJ day.  It is just terribly unfair. Big hugs to Jill and Lona. Also thinking of Barb and other beans who have lost kitties. Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Jamie and Jupiter, Mariko's Lucy, Marje's Gracie, Gus and Tobey. Congrats to Bucky, OTJ today! Paws crossed for the other trials. :-D :-D Happy Sunday, LL!

Warming pad - nice! Yesterday here, the air conditioner came out of the window (weighs more than I do) and the heated mattress pad went on the bed. That's the official start of Kitty Snuggling Season.

Have a great low day, Mister Z!

Re: 9/8 Zener AMPS 117;+3 116

Hi Liz. Zener is looking real good this morning. It looks like he might be planning a visit to the Lagoon.

Hope you found lots of goodies at the Farmer's Market. Have a great day Liz.

Re: 9/8 Zener AMPS 117;+3 116

What a nice surf for Z-man this morning :-D

Your sugar comment made me chuckle ~ I once complained about getting wet in the rain and my DH said "You're not that sweet." I immediately took offense, not knowing what he was referring to and replied "Yes, I am!"
And thanks for the heating pad reminder ~ Ripley recently told an AC that she wants her warm pillow back. Time to fish it out from the closet  Our older mature kitties need their extra warmth. cat_pet_icon

Hope you found some good stuff at the farmers market :-D

Re: 9/8 Zener AMPS 117;+3 116

Glad to hear that Zener's appy has picked up! and look at those numbers!!!! Looking lovely and I feel there's a little slide started...right, Zener?! Green is awaiting! Hope the rain held off long enough to get to the Farmers Market and back.

Sounds like a fine day is being had by all, despite the rain.

Blues look good on you, Z Man! Keep it going!

Hugs, scritches,

Re: 9/8 Zener PMPS 323

BLECH on the PMPS, this is the 2nd cycle since the last trip to the lagoon, so it seems the mighty Z is showing us his delayed bounce technique. We're not impressed.

Tonight we started on a new pen, I couldn't get the last dregs of insulin from the old pen without a giant bubble, so time for some new juice. I do believe this is the first time we've ever finished a pen (and never finished a vial either) since we started the dance. Appy was happy, but no happy crap dash yet. Thanks to you all for stopping by today to encourage our guy to surf the blue and find the lagoon. Unfortunately, he had other plans today, but what goes up will come down!

Tomorrow is his vetty visit to have the ahem "glands expressed. We'll see what Erica, the anal gland specialist, thinks the squash is doing for him.

Liz had a successful trip to the farmer's market. Lots of produce is coming in now and it's a race to see what can ripen up before we get a freeze. The average date of the first freeze in Flagstaff is mid-September. And with all our rain this season, gardens are bursting at the seams. We had a very rare all day rain today and had 1.5 inch in our backyard rain gauge (that's more than we get in most months). The kitties spent a lazy day cat napping in warm spots and yes, the heating pads are on!

Re: 9/8 Zener PMPS 323

Sounds like the perfect napping day, with all that rain! Glad to hear the appy is happy, and I'm sure Z will break that bounce soon. Erica is a lucky, lucky girl, being the anal gland specialist, isn't she  ? Sending good vetty vines for tomorrow!

Re: 9/8 Zener PMPS 323

Uh-oh, I'm guessing Zener is not going to be happy w/ you tomorrow (or w/ Erica! )

I hope you stayed dry at the farmers market. Get anything good?

Re: 9/8 Zener PMPS 323

What is it with pink? Neko and Zener must have been texting again today. Those were nice blues today though.

How many days on the pen? I think my cartridge is about toast so I'm just curious what people are getting. I've still got about a quarter left though.

How are the tomatoes coming along? I haven't heard a report about your own garden produce. Ours are ramping up and it's almost time for tomato soup, tomato salad, tomato sauce, .... Farmer's markets are great for getting stuff you aren't growing yourself.

Paws crossed for tomorrow's vetty results.

Re: 9/8 Zener PMPS 323;+3.5 267 Mouse!

Looks like the mighty Z is off the up escalator, for now....

And the BIG excitement at the woodpile - Tillie, our civvie, caught a mouse! :o Zener was assisting but Tillie was relentless. The night duty bean, that's me, saw some toying with prey behavior, and opened the back door to go investigate (it's getting too cool to leave our screen door only open) and heard the tell-tale sound of mouse squeaks. The little mouse was so darn cute even being so terrified. The cats were collected and brought it, despite Tillie's passionate pleas, and the mouse made it safely back to the woodpile for other nights of endless cat-tertainment.

Now we know what Tillie is staring at in the woodpile. Zener is more of a bird man. ;-)

@Amy & TrixieCat - it was a great napping day and darn it, the beans missed out because we were working to catch up with school stuff, already behind. Zener is on his way back down as requested. At least until Erica, the anal gland specialists, gets to the big squeeze.

@Ann & Tess - Zener usually comes back from the vet and has his version of the zoomies. It usually feels so much better after, and it's the next day, when he feels sore and is more subdued and gives us that look. Liz brought back lots of fresh corn, greens, green beans, cucumbers, onions, freshly made peanut butter (with chocolate) and after writing that, I can't remember what else. Night duty bean needs a snack.

@Wendy & Neko - those kitties must have pink phones, like the bat phone! Fortunately, ropes don't seem to be needed tonight. We got six weeks on the pen. It looked like there was still a tiny bit more but I couldn't get it without big bubbles in the syringe. I don't think it was toast yet, just kind of a funky pen, harder than usual to draw out the juice. We posted a picture of the tomato harvest for today on Facebook.I think we may be down to less than 5 USD per tomato now.

Thanks everyone for the good vetty wishes for tomorrows squeezing procedure. It will be interesting to hear what Erica, the anal gland experts, thinks of the squash effect on Zener's anal glands. Paws crossed!

Ni Ni LL. I-)
