Hi everyone!

Happy about my boring update. The only action around here is Weeble swishing away from uneaten canned food. Got her to nibble a bit more with some parmesan (fingers crossed for no puking). Resolved to only opening 2 cans today--yesterday I opened 4--and she didn't even take a bit out of the 4th! I tried showing her the receipt, but she doesn't care. Maybe she's been chatting with Muffin and decided to take another stand. Patience is not my strong suit, but she's apparently determined to make it so...

One day things work, the next time no go, another somebody else tries it ...and they eat it for them?!!

I tell mine if they don't eat it ...Gary the Garage cat get it!
 
Happy Day 9 Weeble! Sorry, Amanda, if Muffin's been talking Weeble out of canned food. If she has, maybe she's been mentioning turkey?
 
Oh, Anne, I swear this is going to give me a heart attack. Now she's confusing me even more because I offered her some raw duck and she was really into it--2 days in a row--whereas she hasn't been previously. I think she likes a little bite to what she's eating. I'm sighing to my vegetarian self about raw food. I just can't make it myself, it's too insane: "throw a whole bunny into the grinder". Pass! Someone gave me a sample of some commercial stuff but it's turkey and has egg in it. I dunno. I'll totally do it if she can handle the turkey and the egg. Or not. So over trying things. But tomorrow is another day! (mumble, swear, mumble, mumble)

Thanks all for the roots. They're oddly neccessary even with these quality problems...
 
I don't think I could do raw either. I am mentally tortured when I flip past the Lobster cooking page in my Better Homes & Garden cookbook and there's not even a photo! lol Good luck with tempting Weeble's palate with new things. I hope she settles into a better eating routine soon.
 
I can't look when I walk by the lobsters in the supermarket.

I think Muffin and Weeble are soul sisters. Muffin not only won't eat the kibble that has touched canned food, she won't eat the kibble right next to the kibble that has touched canned food! ohmygod_smile And regarding the raw food, I tried Feline's Pride chicken and my civies loved it. But shipping was waaayyy expensive. So I tried ..umm..I think it was called Nature's Variety chicken, because I could buy it at the feed store, but was a bit skeptical of it as it too has egg and vegetables...the list of ingredients seemed to go on and on. Shnookie is the only one who will eat that, and I have to put fortiflora on it. Just mentioning this because you might want to look into other brands than the one you tried. And I agree, I could never throw a rabbit into the grinder! Chicken thighs I could handle.
:lol: I told Muffin to stop chatting with Weeble about food, so I hope she gets better for you. Her numbers are looking outstanding! You are doing a wonderful job with her.
 
The duck's bad enough. I usually warn my husband to stay out of the kitchen, but he walked in the other day while I was wrastling with it and I had to tell him to get out with his distracting exclamations of horror.

And copy that, Anne, the kibble surrounding the tainted kibble are considered inedible here as well. I'm rearranging the classroom. Those two are no longer allowed to sit next to eachother.
