Morning LL Breffis was not enthusiastically received this morning. I am out of my raw. They seem to really like that mixed in and today it was just Wellness and Evo 95%.. I tempted Shadow with more FD chicken and he ate a bit more. He is now stretched out on the floor and looks very regal and content.
We watched a rainstorm work its way down our canal right to our window last night. It was a very strange sight...first with loud claps of thunder and black clouds to the East when the sun was shining brightly on one side of the building. We could see the rain on the other side of the Intercoastal and then, the wall of rain began coming towards us. The water underneath was rain was smooth while the water in front was choppy...such a strange sight to see. as the line between the two came closer and closer to us. By the time the rain stopped it was time to test and feed. Shadow split right away to his closet and waited out the storm while Raja walked all over the table that we were sitting at, watching the approaching rain. She is not bothered at all by the violent Florida storms.
It can rain violently and then be calm and quiet right after the storm here in FLA. I have never seen weather like this anywhere else...

So, the extra hair I added helped Shadow find green last night...and it looks as if we might see some today. But the great thing is that there was not ugly you-know-what for his SS. I am now wishing I had gone out yesterday for supplies instead of leaving it for today. :roll: He is acting so fine...looking so strong and his fur is so silky. 3 Ps so far today....

weather's amazing isn't it? one of the most beautiful sights i've ever been treated to is rainstorms on the oregon coast where the sky is roiling, and then a single shaft of sunlight bursts thru to blaze down on the ocean, complete with a rainbow arching under the clouds...that could inspire me to strike out in search of the holy grail or the pot o' gold!

I visited the east coast several times in my "younger days", and can remember storms similar to what you watched last night. They were just so unusual. pouring rain on one side of the street, sunny and dry on the other. I would have loved to have seen that last night. We are more prone to what Celi described - WA and OR - same universe. :lol: and poor Shadow - back into the closet. Mannie would have watched.

Looks like the added hair to the dose was what Shadow wanted. Hope it keeps him down in the blues.

So glad to see that the hair is doing so well for Shadow!

He certainly is a skerrdy cat, huh. My kitties get wide eyed during a storm and Ralph sometimes hides and sometimes doesn't. However, the drooler is hiding the first sound of thunder. We had one of those torrential downpours last night and it thundered and lighteninged for about a half hour before the rain started. I just love thunderstorms.

Great amps today. Your storms sound a lot like Colorado storms. It can be raining and sun shining at the same time here. We also had rain, thunder & lightning this morning, but it doesn't bother the kitties here.

Came home from work today and duchess was all chatty...something about a PARTY? A party where black cats fit in? Something about the moon and that she would be the 'new' one? :roll: Then I realized, Raja must have called her to see if she would come surprise Shadow for the NEW MOON party! I certainly hope she can surprise him down to some lovely blues! I asked her to try.

A big shout out of thanks to those who came to visit her in the last few days. She certainly seemed to enjoy her days while Ive been out! And the talk about wet food being better than kibble...IT WORKED! Like seriously, an overnight change BIG TIME. Must have been Mannie and Stu's cookin'....or maybe she now has motivation to slim down...for shadow! ;-) :lol:

I am so happy that Duchess is liking the wet!!! Isn't that so wonderful?? I guess I am not surprised though. Raja has a way of making things sound soooo logical. And of course, Stu with his cooking and Mannie there talking about how all the cool cats eat canned...it's no wonder she changed her tune. Duchess IS one of the cool cats! :lol:
Shadow is going to be soooo happy to see her...and they don't have to wear a black costume like some of the other kitties. They all want to blend into the dark night...I can hear them all giggling though so even if they think they can't be seen, they are still pretty loud. :lol: They are going to light the candles now and the party will be very romantic and subdued. Maybe. :lol:

I am so happy that you will be here. It was a spur-of-the-moment plan when this silly Bean realized it was a new moon. Teddy will fit right in with his gorgeous black fur....he will blend like Shadow and Duchess..and Buzz...you will look pretty as always in your turtle neck and black hat!

Bear Man can't "blend" though because everyone knows where to find him....they all rush to hug him as he laughs from his stool at the bar. His favorite spot at these parties! All the kitties spend a little time with Bear Man alone...it's as if he is counseling each one of them and they treasure the love and wisdom he bestows upon them. It's so great that everyone could come on such short notice. Teddy and Shadow were hanging out in the corner with Blackie and Tray and Raja took a picture of them....

Everyone gathered around to see it and they all fell into a heap laughing....Raja grabbed the black stiletto heels from Binks as soon as he walked in and she is prancing around in them...she is taller than everyone now! Mannie and Stu are in the kitchen and Ginger and Buzz are helping. Moonie and Copper arrived with Alex and Jackson and they were comparing notes about their holiday dinners...describing all the good food in detail as they ate some chopped chicken liver crescents that Stu made! :lol: Duchess arrived and Shadow was completely tongue-tied and he buddies were teasing him and slapping him on the back so hard! Silly boys!

Pedro in his black cape and Tess in a beautiful black dress made the rounds introducing Atlas & Achilles and the other new kitties to everyone. Doodles and Checkers began looking for some music...the kitties all want to dance the night away. Ginger keeps asking what time it is...Spot finally started to dance with her and they haven't stopped once! They are all trying to distract her so she can have fun tonight...but she has to leave early to be home to see her Mama and J.D. come home.
And that's all I know...I have to leave my hiding spot before they see me. SHHhhhhhh.....
the New Moon ceremony is about to begin...
Bear Man has taken the floor and all the kitties ran to find seats in front of him. He always begins with a prayer for those who have gone ahead....as he looks down at all the little faces that are upturned to hang on his every word.
