hard to come up with some creative WCR when punkin does the exact same thing every morning! i got testing equipment ready while he circled my feet, purring. he walked down the hallway looking for the DH who was annoyed because he doesn't want to be in charge of the morning tests, so DH brought punkin to me to test. shot & food given, anya didn't finish hers so punkin got to clean it up. I even say the same thing every morning "oh punkin, she left you a little something!" - and when i think i must be going insane from so much repetition, i don't say it out loud, but the words are in my head no matter what!!!

it's a routine if there ever was one!!!!! and as usual, he's happy and purry this morning.

Great AMPS today for Punkin! The same old thing is pretty darn nice. Our kitties and dog love repetition and routine too. It throws them out of whack if something happens out of sequence. Creatures of habit I suppose.

Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Personally, when it comes to the cats and their routine, I'm a huge fan of repetition! Sounds like a lovely start to your day!!

You know how I feel about normalcy  When are you leaving for Colorado. If you've already told about this trip, I missed it. But I'm interested in hearing about it.

heehee - crystal ball failure! he didn't flop down - he acted like he'd always done this. the difference, though - dogs walk on streets and sidewalks. cats slip under and around things. so i *oh lovely* cleared out the spiderwebs with my face and managed to walk on bark and get splinters in my feet. then i wised up, put on my flip flops and we started over.

he was very happy being outside - rubbed his face on the moss on a curb, parked against the neighbor's garage doors, slunk alongside a hedge that i think must've had 2 squirrels rifling through leaves inside, watched a different neighbor take off on a walk with her German Shepherd (from a safe distance). all in all it was very fun for both of us. there was no freaking out at all, although something made him want to escape and he strained at the end of the least - i couldn't see what was bothering him, but he was ok with me picking him up.

we came back in and anya was waiting at the front door - she had to check him out to see where he'd been.

i did really notice his big floppy feet though. he was picking them up extra high - i'm not sure if he does that inside or not. i think so - i think it was just more obvious outside cuz i was videoing him.

we're scheduled for the 19th, so we'll leave on the 17th - a week from saturday. he has an appt on tuesday morning to get the blood/urine tests done to make sure he's good to go.

Julie,

We love normal :-D The poem you posted was so on target. It's nice to hear about Punkin's adventure outside. That leash will come in handy on the trip. I'm excited about your decision.

Ollie saw the vet today. She has just returned from a conference in Dever and suggested we test for acro. Of course she couldn't do it today (said she wanted to check something before drawing the blood). I asked her to look into the IAA test too. I wanted both done. We got to a point that I think we can work together....maybe. I so want it to work. Thanks so much for info!

this dose has some potential, I think.

Glad you had fun on your walk. I keep wanting to get a leash for my big fluffy guy, Sammy, but then I decided I didn't want to introduce him to outside.

You could start each day by saying "same old same old"   How fun on the leash and the walk. AND Punkin looks great today.

Your late night conversation with Dyana cracked me up.....oh the problems with HAIR!!

I "bought" some yellow patience pants for Brent. Check them out on his condo.
