Good Morning Lantus Land!!! ~O) ~O) ~O)

Yesterday's Condo

Atlas was quite the spunky one last night...climbing cat trees and trying to climb the curtains too! Gary sat on the floor in awe of the mighty orange cat that normally sleeps.

Well the winter is already upon us here in northern Ohio. No it has not started snowing, that is still a few months away, but it is time to sign up for budget billing for heating the house. I normally don't, because I am then less frugal, but this winter I need my expenses to be more predictable.

I still can't seem to discern my electic bill? The NOPEC delivery charges are 115% more than my actual usage? It costs me more to have the electricity delivered...than the amount I actually use. confused_cat Honestly it is charges like that, that have me contemplating how to get off the grid as it no longer pays to conserve energy. (and I'm not in a rural area of Ohio).

And they are messing around with our water and sewer bills too. We have already been warned water is slated to go up 87% in the next few years and sewer up an additional 40%, plus they (sewer) wants to add on another "fee" to help pay the EPA off. They want to add the "fee" so everyone has to pay a set amount. When I lived in a HOA we had another name for stuff like that!

Sorry guys for getting so far off topic this morning...it is September for me and budget evaluation time for the third quarter and setting the budget for the fourth quarter. It is very frustrating trying to figure out how I am going to cover all my personal bills and all the government fee's & taxes for my business. Plus hire at least one person for the holiday season either as an employee or a subcontractor.

I hope your day gets less stressful. I've been procrastinating looking at my finances for a while, now  iz afraid

Nice AMPS Attie  Keep making your ma happy, k?

Re: 9/8 Atlas AMPS 103

Very nice AMPS! Sorry that life is stressful right now- you'll figure it out!

Re: 9/8 Atlas AMPS 103

Rant away, it's fine. Where I live, I think you need some special Phd to decipher the utility bills.

Hope you get it all sorted and Atlas...leave the curtains alone, or you'll have the Bean climbing the walls

Re: 9/8 Atlas AMPS 103

Good morning! Nice AMPS for Attie today! So good to hear that he is climbing all over and having fun. I bet Gary is confused.

No need to apologize. I am an accountant and budgets stink! I haven't even looked at ours after Tarragon's little episode last week I just know that we can't spend anything on anything right now. :?

Winter is coming fast. Last week we were in record highs and now records lows. WTH? Oh well. I think it will come quick and it will be my gas company soaking me instead of the electric for a few months.

Have a wonderful day!!

I always try to have room in the budget for a weekly something or other. Nothing outrageous or expensive. When I was a kid in the 1970's our parents always planned something to do on Sunday after church. A trip to the shore, park, or since this is the lake...a lighthouse. Just something different and off routine. One of my favorites in the fall was we would go have breakfast in the park. We would cook breakfast on the charcoal fire! After I was married, we would plan for a Friday evening out. Even if it was only dinner at McDonalds as we both brown-bagged all week. As our lives improved so did our married dates.

I think having some sort of built-in luxery into a budget is important to making life on a budget work. And yes...even McDonalds can be a luxery.

Re: 9/8 Atlas AMPS 103

That is what we do too! We budget to eat out every Friday night, whether it be take out, delivery, or a real restaurant. It keeps us sane and gives us a break from cooking at least one night.

Hi guys .. nice looking numbers atlas! How funny gary was in awe of him last night .. We also budget our electric and our gas .. the "budget plan" is what we are on up here in MI .. It helps us financially because we know every month what those bills will be, no surprises .. have a great day!
