A very nice start for Trix today, so no "+3" follow up pokey needed, even though we don't get to use Mr Greenie. Her appy is good today, but not super-duper gluttonous, at least not as of yet...I would say it's moderately gluttonous, so I may supplement with an assist-fed syringe before I head to work this morning.
I got her new compounded "tiny tabs" BP meds yesterday. They are NOT what I would call "tiny"...fitting them in the gelcap with her other meds was a challenge. The only reason we got these compounded pills is because we may have to take her dose down to what would be 1/8 of a human tablet, depending on what this week's reading says, and the human tablets shatter in the pill splitter so doing 1/8th of a tablet would be impossible. If her dose stays at 1/4 of a human tablet, though, I'm sticking with the human pills...these compounded pills are just too big and soooooooo expensive.
As usual, I crashed after work yesterday...I made it part way through the 2nd quarter of the Notre Dame game and then was out like a light. So now I have to avoid social media and news until I have a chance to watch the rest of the game...I don't like knowing the outcome before I see it! And, another long day of working the store by myself while simultaneously teaching is on tap, followed by my all-time favorite activity (not): food shopping. Wahoo. Hopefully I can squeeze a few condos in here and there....
My Dad has been feeling pretty awesome these last several days. So, hopefully the next round of chemo, which is on Tuesday, will go as smoothly. He did feel extra extra crappy last weekend, but now that we're over that hump, we can see it was only a couple days out of the 14 day cycle (although at the time it felt like an eternity), so in the grand scheme, that's not too bad. Still nerve-wracking as all heck, though....
BTB for me now before the lllloooooonnnnnnggggg day starts. Have a great day, LL!
