YESTERDAY'S CONDO:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=124827

Thank you all for the prayers for my mom. Please keep them coming. I was at the hospital until about 11:30. She's on two different IV antibiotic and they started breathing treatments because we heard some wheezing. She looked great when I got there but wasn't feeling so well when I left. They had just finished giving more antibiotics so I think they just needed more time to work. When admitted her BP was real low but it was much better during the evening so hopefully all this was the infection draining her.I just got off the phone from talking to her and she sounded good but said her legs really hurt and she was aching all over which is likely the infection.

Max stayed in yellow during the times that I tested him so the shooting at +18 worked well. I don't think he is feeling very well though. I had to drag him out from under my bed this morning. He didn't meow for food. I tried to go back to bed after TFS but couldn't sleep. He ate his baby food and a little cat food and got on my bed.I weighed him today and he was 15 lb 11 1/2 oz. Ouch! He needs to lose l 1/2 pounds at least.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes Max to get back to business.

Thank you Marilyn, Mariko and Carla and everyone who posted yesterday with prayers for my mom. She continues to get IV antibiotics and is a quite a bit of pain. Hopefully the pain is from the infection as her whole body hurts but especially her legs. Her internist and the hospitalist think so.

I think Max was in pain this morning. When things settle down I'm going to make an appointment so once and for all I can get medicine for what I think is arthritis. I was getting ready to leave to go walk my sister's dog and then head for the hospital and took one more test and Max had dropped again. My sister went home when I got to the hospital yesterday and didn't come back until this morning. I was there until 11:35. Our caregiver stayed the night so we are covered and everyone got some rest.

I'll get one more test before I leave but I think he should have hit nadir. I guess that answers my question about getting back on track. Does that mean that perhaps a reduction is in our future? I'm thinking and hoping soon since he was dropping so low for so many days and is back on track easily. That drop from 325 to 153 might trigger a bounce. I didn't expect that. I thought he would be yellow today like yesterday. I have to remember to expect the unexpected with Max.

Re: 9/7 MAX AMPS 289+2/325+5/153+7/75+7.75/68+9/78 PMPS 152

Max has not had much of an appetite all day and I almost wasn't going to give him his insulin. He ate a little so I gave it to him. He's under the bed now. Usually by +1 he is more interested in food so I'll see what happens.

My mom looked pretty good when I got to the hospital but then wasn't doing as well. The urologist was called in and she did a test that might be explaining whey the infections are back. Hopefully she will have ideas on how to reverse this again. Prayers still appreciated. Thank you.

{{{Elise}}}

It's been a very stressful couple of days for you! I have been praying for your DM and will keep doing so. Looks like Max is trying to help by rolling with the schedule changes. I'm glad he got back on track so quickly.

Sending healing vines for his pain. I hope you can get some relief for him from your vet.

Don't forget to take care of yourself!
