Yesterday's Condo
Hi All,
Came home for lunch and to test Casey as usual, and figured Id get this condo out too.
Well, I attempted to go back to a 1.25u dose this morning, but I think I gave at least a partial fur shot. As I had mentioned in earlier posts, Casey had made a turn-around by now being quite difficult come shot time, once again giving her the shot was a struggle but thought I got her. As I was petting her afterward, feeling the shoot area, I felt a lot of moisture... :YMSIGH: ohhh no, not a fur shot.
I must have gotten some of the insulin in her since she has a lower # a +4.5.
Besides her having BG #'s higher that where I would like them to be, Casey seems ok, doing her cat things. Bird watching, meowing at them, sunbathing through the window/door. We had her chasing a pen light for a while last night trying to straighten her hind legs, but after a while they were visibly tired(her leg/paw muscles), so we stopped as to not over do it.
She is also as clever as ever too. I have not yet tested her for Ketone, but since her #'s have been going up, I thought I would do that now...so I planned. I am having a difficult time collecting a sample to test. I have smaller clear plasic cups that I cut down so they/it would be just a bit higher than the litter in the box and nestled it in where she usually goes. She had avoided the cup going anywhere around it except in it. I left what she had done in the box there and nestle the cup between the areas used, so she would actually go in the cup this time. I heard her scratching the litter, thinking we got the sample this time, and when to the box to see... ohmygod_smile She kicked/knocked the cup out of its place and peed where it had been! So, not ketone test yet.
Well, need to get back to work...and I haven't even eaten lunch yet.
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!!
