Phew, what a night. I was up til around 2 AM but she was giving me 51 and 50's so I didn't want to load her up with carbs. Had to go to sleep for an hour after feeding her low carb. Woke up around 3 and as I was going to get stuff for pokes I saw the largest insect I think I've ever seen quickly crawl down my bedroom wall and disappear somewhere
. Clocked Bell at a 43
. Look for the giant bug and could find it, thought I was maybe still dreaming. Set alarms for the rest of the early mornings and fed some MC to get Bell back into a safe zone. Woke up for her AMPS to find Blair doing battle with the giant bug. Turns out to be the largest house centipede I've ever seen. Like rat-sized! It could have dragged Blair back into the netherworld. Got it with a vacuum (I hair-tied a plastic bag around the end of my vacuum to be safe
) and gave Blair extra belly rubs today. I felt bad because I KNOW those things are good and eat pests but I can't be having that crawl on me in the middle of the night. I have a size limit in my tolerance of insect friends.
Bell seemed better today with the gabapentin dose. Still a little sleepy but less wobbly. I do think it is helping her back, which is good. I just don't want it to cause her to sleep all the time (well even more, since she already sleeps all the time
).
Seems to be bouncing from that lime, so maybe some sleep tonight.
