yesterday was another good day. Murphy is acting more or less like his old self. He woke me up at 5 am to feed him this morning (then when I do he eats only a few bites) Normal stool. So between the budesonide and poo pills from Animalbiome, something is working

Regarding the budesonide - I think it is definitely affecting his sugars - 355 this am - wow. We haven't seen those numbers in a long, long time. Glad I increased to 1.75 units last night.

Let's hope Irma doesn't hit the US and prayers for all those in her path

Yikes on the pink start, but I am very glad that he is starting to act more like his normal self and seems to feel better. I would think that it's a great sign that he is actually excited about food. Definitely an encouraging step.

Very glad to hear he's acting like himself. Waking you up even for a few bites is a great sign! Could be NDW and/or his body getting use to the meds. ECID but most haven't see too much influence of bg's from budesonide. As long as he's feeling good that's most important and hopefully he'll come back down once the depot fills up.

That's discouraging then. He's already up half a unit from it. Don't know what else it could be. @HWright - It's a steroid for his IBD - I think the feeling is if it works, he will be on it indefinitely.
I should be getting the canna tomorrow - I guess I give that every day? Or just when he needs it?

Try not to be discouraged. You can adjust the insulin and most importantly he's feeling good

I agree with Karen, Carol. You can dose around it if necessary. Him feeling good is much more important.

+6 but he's in blue at 194!! He vomited about an hour ago for the 1st time in a long time, and he just had a softer, bulkier stool (that's twice he's gone this morning - not normal). Both signs I don't want to see.

ETA: more diarrhea, tail down - looks like another pancreatitis relapse
I'm going to be nervous with the dose increase tonight as he probably won't eat much
