Morning! I just made a big goof with Maggie's breffifs, and I could kick myself! Sweet Maggie waited so patiently for her breffifs, as I was making sure of the two hours. She had been waiting so patiently, sitting next to the kitchen where I start getting it ready. She followed me to the living room and plopped down on her side just biding the time. Finally, it's time for breffifs and Maggie hurriedly cleaned the plate. I couldn't believe it, as she never leaves it clean. As I went back to the kitchen, I still had some leftover FF, and was about to refrigerate it and noted it was the Turkey & Giblets I fed Mags, which acts like a mc/hc for her! Oh darn it. ... so I am expecting higher than normal numbers. No wonder Maggie is in such a happy mood this morning. The sleepy Bean gives Maggie, what is to her, gravy & biscuits for breakfast! It's too bad it spikes her, as she loves this flavor! Other than that goof by me, all is well in MaggieLand, and she is much better today after the Advantage treatment.

Well it happens to us all, it's hard to function some mornings. I'm sure if Maggie will go up it will be shortlived and good numbers will return in no time

After feeding FF Turkey & Giblets!

Hey guys, after mistakenly feeding Maggie FF Turkey & Giblets, her bg didn't spike. I don't know if it's because I gave it to her directly after her test and shot and then the onset of her early Nadir is usually at +3 and +4! If I could give it to her more often would be great.

Hi Melissa and Iorwen, glad you both have done the same with the fuds in our sleep deprived state of mind and not enough to function.

Hi Ann & Maggie,
:lol: on the food mix-up! But isn't it great that Maggie didn't spike! Rusty loves T&G so much, too, and I don't want to deprive him of it, so I feed it as a bedtime snack (just a little bit), after the bedtime test. That way I don't get to see whether or not he spiked!!

Maggie probably noticed and decided to take advantage of you in your sleep state! She could have told you it was the wrong fud you know, well, if she had wanted to. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Devon, Yes, I am so glad, too, it didn't cause a spike. Now I know I can give her a little after her shot and no effect.

Hi Ella, that's neat that you can give it to Rusty as a bedtime treat. That's a good idea for us not to deprive them of something they like so much. Now I need to make a trip to the pet store as I only have one can left.

Hi Michelle, thanks re the nice numbers, but I'm not sure if the 177 is a catch up spike from the FF T & G, or al the lunch time fuds I left her. I am really on a roll with the goof ups today. Normally I place the ice pak in my Pet Mate feeder but don't set the timer. Instead I place her dish with the fuds on top of the two plates, and Maggie self feeds when she gets low. Well, when I was out, I couldn't remember getting it ready. I rush home to find the dish with food in it left on the coffee table, and Maggie found it and did self feed herself. There she was waiting by the door wondering why I was out of breath and rushing, whew! I better get more sleep. The encore of my goof-ups is that I drove thru the drive-thru at McDonalds and forgot to order my coffee. I think that's it so far!

You have had quite a day! Maggie had you all worried for nothing. She just followed her nose and there was the food on the coffee table. No problem! Now forgetting to order your coffee is definitely a problem.

I know we both mentioned to each other before how FF turkey seems to spike our kitties' bg. I'm still trying to figure out the best food that doesn't do that to Simon and also a food that he likes. I bought him Wellness chicken and he loved it the first few days and then wouldn't touch it after that. Just tonight, I decided to give him the Wellness again just to see what he would do. Well he ate the whole thing with gusto! Crazy kitty!
