Happy Friday!

Yesterday's condo

9/5 AMPS=166; +2=128; +9=124
9/5 PMPS=142; +2=74; +3=79; +4.5=85; +6.5=77

9/6 AMPS=115; +2=119; +7.45=137
9/6 PMPS=142; +2=108; +6=97

Lucy is doing fine.
So far, she ate her 1st breakfast pretty well by finger-feeding.

She was in a very good mood yesterday evening, but I ruined it by nipping her. to myself.
I was working on her huge mats I've been working on for months.
The noise from clippers scares her, so I use small scissors with round tips, and I can only cut a small bit at a time because she gets upset after a couple of minutes.
Yesterday she was being a good girl for a much longer minutes, and I was hurrying to get as much as possible done, and I nipped her.... just a little bit.
She yelped. Bad badbadbadbadbad bad bad mama.
I can see where I got her, but it doesn't seem to be bothering her, so I just put a little bit of polysporin.
I'm usually really careful.... I can't believe I did that. :-x
And now, I will have to leave her mats alone for a couple of months until she forgets about this incident. :YMSIGH:

Wishing all kitties and beans a good days.

Re: 9/6 AMPS=115

Awww, poor Lucy. Sounds like she holds a grudge like Hoots Momma...for months after I put flea meds on her
I'm sorry you feel so bad but it was an accident :YMHUG: Glad she's eating and feeling good :-D
Have a great day Mariko!

Re: 9/6 Lucy AMPS=115

Hi Mariko, I'm glad Lucy is feeling better, her appetite improved & good poos! Sorry about the nippers, tho'. It's difficult. I've done that, too - sometimes it's unavoidable, especially when you're in a dark hair/dark skin spot. Maybe you can work on them after a few days when shes sleeping? Does stealth work? That sometimes helped me with my feisty Zoomer. I just had to be ready for the 'slice & dice' of my hand when she woke up & figured out what was going on!

Good luck!

Thank you for your visits.
Thank you for the tip, Suzanne, but Lucy usually sleeps with the matty side down. :-x

Re: 9/6 Lucy AMPS=115;+2=119

Aw, I bet sweet little Lucy forgives you in no time. I've got two long--haired civvies and their mats drive me crazy! They seem to appear out of nowhere - one minute, no mats; the next mats galore. They have moods where they'll let me snip some off (except those darned belly mats), and a couple times we've had to take them to the vetty for "spot shaves"....I also can't use the electric clippers, but the vet techs know how to do it, so I trust them with the really bad ones.

I'm glad she's feeling good! Have a great Friday, Mariko!

Re: 9/6 Lucy AMPS=115;+2=119

Can you get a pet-sitter to come in and hold her while you trim the whole area with the clippers? This is what I used to do with my long-haired cat Mog. My neighbour who's a vet tech would come over and we'd give him a haircut, and he'd feel great afterwards and be matt-free for months. It got it over with all at once.

I hope Lucy's tummy is feeling good today!

Re: 9/6 Lucy AMPS=115;+2=119

Hi Mariko! I just looked at Lucy's profile - you have such beautiful kities!!! Sorry about the nip - I'm sure she has forgotten about it but it still makes you feel bad. I don't know how you do it - I can't even trip my cats' nails without them acting like I'm trying to kill them. Thank goodness they are all short hair.

Maybe you could let Lucy grow some dreadlocks?? I hear they are pretty trendy right now....

Super happy she's feeling better! Have a great day!

Re: 9/6 Lucy AMPS=115;+2=119

I'm sorry about the nip. I've done that before and I always feel so bad. I hope Lucy's cut heals quickly. Nice blue start today.

Re: 9/6 Lucy AMPS=115;+2=119

Hi Mariko! Sorry about the nip . . . but I have to say, from the first sentence before I read the rest of the post I was wondering how on earth you ended up biting (nipping) Lucy. Usually it works the other way around in my experience  Have a good evening!

Re: 9/6 Lucy PMPS=142

Thank you for your visits.

Dara -   I don't think her mats will grow to be dreadlocks.
But maybe if I let her keep all her mats for a few years, I can make a toupee out of her shaved mats.

Lucy is feeling neutral tonight.
She doesn't seem to be feeling yucky, but not particularly happy either.
She's eating her dinner OK by finger-feeding, and purrs when I brush her.
She hasn't pooped yet today, and yesterday's poop was very small, so she may be uncomfortable from a bit of constipation.
I'll skip probiotic tomorrow, and see if what happens....

Re: 9/6 Lucy PMPS=142

Lucy is looking lovely in her blues today! I'm sure she had some greens while you weren't looking!!!! Sorry to hear about the nip with the clippers. I'm sure she'll forgive and forget! Besides, you have all the fuds! I've been noticing lately that when Shasta hasn't pooped, she's a grumpy kitty. Come to think of it... I'm a grumpy person when I haven't pooped. I feel her pain!!! Hope she starts feeling better soon!
