I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did well here. The weather was awful, as it is today. I had hope to make the beach in what was supposed to be a weather break in the morning. I think the weather guy forgot to look outdoors to see what it actually was doing....   What an incedible wet day here, complete with lots of thunder and lightning. So.... all that wet meant it was an indoor adventure day for Nicholas and William. We went tot eh Science Center, whihc turned out to be a good thing. Her's what I wrote in last nights condo post: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. It has been crazy here... right down to the weather.  on the weather here. So much for that window of clearing and partial clouds this morning that the weather dudes predicted.... the fog rolled in about 6, by 6:30 the rains had started, by 7 is was a monsoon, and 7:30 we had thunder and lightning over and over again. wow, impressive. Nicholas thought it was kinda cool - likes thunder apparently. love it! We ended up at the science center today, if only becasue we have not been there in a while and the aquarium was last week, and it was just pouring outside.... so packed up the boys and off we went. It is one of those places where you can spend an hour or two and no matter on the duration. That gave me a chance to see how it went, front packed, with the new little guy. He really liked being up front where he could see. He did really well. YAY! Nicholas liked the place: good time with the butterflies, dinosaurs and well, duh on the fav: all the water works out in the courtyard. No surprise there. lol. All in all, a successful venture out and about with the boys, just me, no backup. I will hope for a weather break tomorrow so we can get to a river. we shall see on that one. But I tell ya: what work! crazy busy, and an incredible test of will and patience, and teaching. Nicholas is such a sponge... listens and learns ad tries to do what taught. Work, but what fun!" Picassa links: photos and a couple of videos: Pacific Science Center, Nicholas and William, at Grammie's.... It was fun to have the light bulb go off in my head last week and realize that this bush in my backyard was actually a huckleberry bush. So yesterday I took Nicholas out there so he could pick them. Funny kid... he ate more than he picked to bring back in the house... smart kid: Grammie's Huckleberry Bush

Bug's kitty acne seems to be healing, but the process is slow. I may reevaluate this in week, and if not better than it is now, call the vet back and see what else might work for him. I'm just not too sure how fast this should be clearing up. ;-) OH! Bug hung out a little with the boys yesterday. It wasn't an immediate splits-ville. That he left up to Elsa.  I don't have many stories to tell about Elsa. She's such a mellow old gal, and rarely does anything to upset the apple cart. She has taken on the role of kitty choir, aka my AM backup morning alarm system. Without fail now very morning, to the minute. Way to go Elsa! Now if I can just get her to stop stealing my pillow at night things would be awesome. She gets 80% of the pillow, I'm left with the corner... And Lola? well..... Lola is Lola, and never ever a dull moment. Just when I thought she was done with digging up my plants, she was back at it. She has all the dirt out of one plant that sits next to what used to be Mannie's bed. Bug has taken that over. Anyways - I looked at it last night and realized she had taken all the dirt out of the pot and somehow got it all in Bug/Mannie's bed. What a mess! I watched her walk the banister railing last night too: it is iron and maybe 1" wide, is about 10 feet off the floor landing by the door on one side, 4' off the floor on the other. Back and forth she went, warp speed on some runs. What I would give to have that kind of balance. Bug won't go near, and Elsa? NO WAY! AND YAY!: Bug and Elsa had a whack-a-thon this morning. That brought a smile to my face. When I had Mannie and Bj and Elsa they were such a part of the morning routine, the three of them. What a great memory.
The following is in the Nicholas and William photo album, but here's a teaser anywyas....

Have a great day everyone, Today is day 3 of caring for both boys. I so hope for a weather break. if not... we may go to the Children's Museum. it's been a while on that one. I may also take Nicholas (and William) to a smaller public pool too. His normal one is closed this week for maintenance so I thought maybe this smaller version, with a tot play section, may be good to see how it goes with both boys. it's only three feet deep at it's deepest point, and would be ok for me to handle both boys. We shall see if we do that today or not...
