Good afternoon World! Welcome to our home! Yesterday

Shooted dat pink toad again....he turned GREEN! I figured he'd do this yesterday or last night - glad he's doing it during the day this time. We woke up to massive hair balls where 2 big long haired cats had play tussles overnight. Snow usually gets the worst end of the deal, he weighs as much as KT but KT uses his weight to his advantage leaving Snow the one underneath most of the time.

Waiting on another call back from the eye surgeon's office right now - may be able to work me in this afternoon but they don't want me to come over until they call. I'm certainly not liking this....I don't do 'sick' well.

HUGS to all that visit today and extra thoughts and prayers today for Rocket's U/S appt....

I'm so sorry about your eye problem - I hope you can get that sorted very soon!

Nice catch on that drop, too! Keep an eye on that kitty - she wears those green with such flair! :lol:

Lyresa, Sorry you are still having trouble with your eye, hope you get in to see the doc soon and its not something serious, eye vines for you.

THANK YOU ALL! I just hope they can fix it without having to have surgery but even surgeon didn't think so.....he set this up so he could do surgery immediately if it is indeed detaching. I must admit I'm a bit scared....

Sending prayers and vines! DH had a detatched retina and a tear as well. He went in and the Dr. did the dx and surgery w/ a laser in less than an hour. If it is that it is often an easy surgery, but I know how scared you must be. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: at least KT is doing his best to make you feel better w/ such nice green numbers.

Eye surgery always sounds scary. :shock:
But I've heard so many people say it wasn't near as bad as they thought it would be.
I'll be facing it some day too. cataracts.

Prayers that yours will go smoothly and be 100x easier than you think. :-D
 
NO EYE SURGERY! I have "posterior vitreous detachment (PVD)" - sounds like a STD doesn't it? Basically, I'm lucky - the fluid sac in my eye detached from the back but the front stayed attached AND it didn't tear when it happened. It will repair itself as I'm noticing it getting better this afternoon. I could read things there at the office that I couldn't have read yesterday. I DO have another appt with a specialist Monday just to be sure he sees no tears either. Here's the wiki on it:

I gave KT a bit of gravy food when I left as they called me in 45 minutes early. He was at 92 when I left, he was at 94 when I got back about 2.75 hours later.

oh man that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know how scared you were (heck, I would be too!!) This is just another example of LL prayers working!!

I also had a PVD, but with a small tear of the retina, which they fixed laser surgery. Not a detached retina, although it would have happened if I had no surgery. About a 150 blasts with the laser. It took about a month for most of the floaters and weird vision to disappear. And my vision is 20/13 with glasses, so no problems with vision. But your vision does go wonky for a short time. Glad you had no retina tears.
